I'm pretty sure that would be Tennessee. The school formerly known as "East Texas State University" is now apparently called "Texas A&M"
But in any case...

Yup. neoplacebo is an ETSU alum. I'm pretty sure that he's not on the team, but he might be their pharmacist. Advantage ETSU.

You roped me in last year, got me to make picks and follow the bracket. Then, you ditched me like yesterday's newspaper :ateeth: . I was Charlie Brown to your Lucy. Not falling for it this year.
And I'll do it again this year if Auburn goes 1 and done again.

Close. 2 and done is an improvement?

Good thing you didn't rope me into caring this year ;) . I haven't even looked to see if schools or regions I like are represented.

Oh no! 63-62 to West Virginia alumni. It's worse losing to neighbors. Oh well, at least the Bucketneers saved WDE from that hillbilly heartbreak. :P

Oh I agree 100%. I don't buy or support anything made in Israel, but I don't see travel by a bunch of college kids from Auburn Alabama to somewhere so historically significant in the same light.
At 16 I traveled to 4 communist countries behind the Iron curtain. It was an amazing experience. I didn't come away as a communist, I doubt these kids will come away supporting Israeli terrorists in their assaults on Palestinians.

Very different than buying their sodastream, herbs, carrots and plastic construction tools, or even a pint of Ben and Jerry's. I would never knowingly purchase any product made in Israel (and I read all packaging before I buy almost everything.

Ben and Jerry's? Crap. Oh, it's better now:
Exit from West Bank
Good enough? Idk. I think my organic carrots are from CA, at least the corp HQ is. Whew. Idk about my bulk organic herbs, but I suspect they're also domestic. A few years ago my brothers and I did a blind taste test of different hummus. We all agreed that Sabra was the best. Crap. I don't buy it, though.

I'm all for individual travel anywhere. The personal cultural and educational benefits outweigh any spending. I also don't blame the kids for taking advantage of the opportunity, though refuseniks would also be cool.

However, I do blame the Auburn officials that organized this sportswashing trip knowing that it would be a PR coup for apartheid Israel, leading to things like:

I just don't see it as much of a propaganda coup. Who knows, for a few of these southern boys, so heavily indoctrinated in Christianity as the answer to everything, this trip may crack open a door to seeing there's more than one religion and then on to realizing they're all the same bs.

I feel sure meeting with students of similar age to argue democracy vs communism and Vietnam on my church trip in 67 inspired some propaganda in Bucharest, but it showed me things that still serve my views today.

I'm thinking more of positive press generated for Israel like the article you share than I am of the effect on participants.

I'm sorta so what on the propaganda value of this event being significant in masking the terrorism, abuses and discriminations held by Israel over other people's compared to you and I sending Biden to Israel.
