Not a good weekend in entirety for the O Really teams, except for Huskies who had to hold it up on behalf of everybody else who faltered - some twice in the same week. You know who you are, 'Heels bball.

UNC had some really strange play calling at the end of the game and in all 4 overtimes. All they needed was 1 or 2 points for the win. A simple layup or a foul shot from a layup foul was plenty, but inevitably they would shoot a 3 or a really long 2 and miss every time.
They should have won.
Bammer should not have won at football and basketball in 2 days. Shit, they'll be throwing themselves a parade now.

Some wild swings in the polls. The extremes are:
5. Purdue 6-0 up19!
18. North Carolina 5-2 down17!
I'll leave it to y'all to look at the rest of the craziness:

15. Auburn 7-0 down2 :headscratch:
Go 22. Maryland 7-0 up1

Yep, Auburn in the polls is often a headscratch. Is Bama #1 yet?

Idk about its absolute positioning, but dropping 2 while being undefeated seems weird to me.

Up 7 to #11. You're losing the battle of Alabama. :problem: :(

Coaches poll dropped us to 23. I wonder how far we'll drop if we win tonight.

Maryland and State are both 7 - 0, but way down the list. The Coaches poll always seems more about who you know.

You're playing Colgate 5-4, 0 AP votes. Maybe you should drop in the polls with a win. :P

That's the "CBS Sports Top 25" poll. Is that coaches? It's weird because it doesn't say where Auburn and a bunch of other teams were the week prior. Does that mean that they were all unranked? The rankings are all over the map for 7-0 Auburn:
AP Top 25: down 2 to 15
USA Today/ESPN: down 3 to 19
RPI Rankings: 9 with a strength of schedule (so far, I assume) rank of 68
NET Rankings: also with a strength of schedule rank of 68

Yeah, on your "CBS Sports Top 25" poll:
18 Maryland 7-0
24 San Diego St 5-2
25 N. Carolina 5-3

AP goes with:
18 N. Carolina, down 17
22 Maryland, up 1
24 San Diego St, down 7

-0-? I haven't looked at their opponents or point margins. Maybe they deserve their rankings, but I still think it's harsh for undefeated Auburn to drop in polls. Maybe it's because you barely beat GoCubsGo's Northwestern (0 AP votes) 43-42 and Saint Louis (0 AP votes) 65-60. :P

Aha, the "Coaches Poll" and "CBS Sports Top 25 And 1" are different according to CBS:
https://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... ngs/index/
The "Coaches Poll" is what Yahoo for some reason calls "USA Today/ESPN". :headscratch:

Look at this high school junior. 7 ft and 310. He committed to AU as a junior, so he's subject to change.

What a lousy game we played. No blocks until the very last couple of minutes.

Ouch, (11) Auburn 8-1 (-1.5) 73, unranked Memphis 8-2 82.
That won't help the ranking.

We looked awful. Where were our blocks? I think the 1st one was with 2 minutes left.
We deserve whatever fall we get. There's plenty of time to prove it right or wrong.

Week 1 they were ranked 1 and 22.

The duhs went down tonight in spite of some fairly successful lobbying and whining from their coach, players and bench.

What a weird game
