Speaking of things that suck. We led the entire game. Up 4 to 1 at the bottom of the 9th and they scored 4.

At least they didn't tie and go a bunch more innings, they just scored 4 in the 9th.
Ouch. Thanks, I'd forgotten all about it.

You can go ahead and say your bye byes to Louisville.

Can't believe you don't have a preference in the Vandy game.

Pretty cocky for a fan of a 38-27, unranked team that's playing a 43-15, #11 team. :P
Can't believe you don't have a preference in the Vandy game.
Why?

Let's see:
South vs South
TN vs MS
SEC vs SEC
Both cities have Dem mayors

Otoh:
Vanderbilt is a private university.
Nashville is the center for country music.
Starkville aspires to real art.

Okay, go Mississippi State! Thanks. You?

Bonus for neoplacebo: Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn is a Mississippi State grad.

so the Starkville (as the name implies) cow college in the heart of good ol boy mississippi beats the urban beauty of a prestigious med school in the Athens of the South

How about - while Vandy did take 80 years to admit first African American, it was still a decade later for Miss.

Oh, and Dad went there - among many other places.

Auburn up 7 to 5
Top of 9th
Auburn at bat with 1 out and bases loaded

What could go wrong
Louisville up 2 to 1
Top of 4th
Louisville at bat with 1 out and bases loaded, run just walked in

What could go wrong?

Edit: A fielding and a throwing error by the same player on the same play, 4-1, bottom of 4th.

Edit #2: Rain delay, top of 5th, Auburn may set a record for longest time spent losing a game. :P

Yeah, the 4th truly sucked. Auburn looked bad in just about every way, on both sides of the ball.

And our pitcher may have been hurt on the 2 error play.

Auburn fought to the end, congrats for that. 7 CWS games, none decided by more than 2 runs.

Coulda been worse:
Parents brawl during youth baseball game after disagreeing with 13-year-old umpire

A baseball game between a group of 7-year-old kids degenerated into an all-out brawl with parents throwing haymakers, others cowering for cover and a woman even jumping on someone's back.

The reason for the brawl: a parent didn't like the calls being made by a 13-year-old umpire....

Coulda been worse: either way. We had 13 hits to their 7, but that's baseball.

Not a fan of either, but go Texas Tech > Florida State, 7:50 PM EDT ESPN.

Edit: Bye-bye, FSU.

Go:
Louisville (1 loss) > Mississippi St (1 loss), June 20 - 8:00 PM EDT ESPN2
Michigan (0 losses) > Texas Tech (1 loss), June 21 - 1:00 PM EDT ESPN
Louisville or Mississippi St > Vandy (0 losses), June 21 - 7:00 PM EDT ESPN

Louisville did the same thing to Mississippi St, was down 3-0, scored 2 in the 8th, tied it in the 9th, walkoff BH in the 9th, 4-3. Mississippi St was 47-0 when leading after 8, ouch.

Go Michigan then Louisville.

Friday, June 21, Michigan (0 losses) vs. Texas Tech St (1 loss) 2 p.m. ESPN
Friday, June 21, Vanderbilt (0 losses) vs. Louisville (1 loss) 7 p.m. ESPN

If needed:
Saturday, June 22, Michigan vs. Texas Tech 2 p.m. ESPN
Saturday, June 22 , Vanderbilt vs. Louisville 7 p.m. ESPN

Texas Tech 3-15 < Michigan.

Wow, so much or that 10 game run decided by 4 runs or less. 1 or 2 (Louisville), or 1, 2 or 3 (Vanderbilt) games to go.
