In Memoriam

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Never knew it existed. I guess only horns, rap music and loud harley exhausts are legal noise-makers.
Well, that does it.

I will cancel my order for a TOL Tesla.

Was Gary "Radar" Burghoff the only one to reprise his role for the TV show? I wonder why. It's not like Kellerman had an aversion to doing TV.

Ditto. Especially memorable for me:
Altered States - Golden Globe
Body Heat
Kiss of the Spider Woman
- Oscar, BAFTA. Groundbreaking role in 1985.
Children of a Lesser God
Broadcast News

Didn't move me as much as the others. Maybe it was me. As a hardcore activist in my 20s I didn't have much interest in the pain, disillusionment and compromises of their 30s.

Plus, since it's an ensemble flick it wasn't the same kind of star vehicle for Hurt.

You guys beat me to post about this. I really thought Hurt was a great actor. "Body Heat" "Altered States" and "The Big Chill" all were great. I never knew his mom married the Time/Life dude.

Sigh, #HimToo.
William Hurt Ex Recounts Abuse She Endured, ‘Brutal Remnants’ Following His Death

A former girlfriend of William Hurt, who died Sunday at the age of 71, recounted the alleged physical abuse she endured while dating the actor in a guest column for Variety.

Like actress Marlee Matlin — who accused Hurt of abuse in a memoir — Donna Kaz also penned a memoir, Un/Masked, Memoirs of a Guerrilla Girl On Tour, that detailed her relationship with the actor, which began in 1977 when Hurt was a theater actor in New York....

Just a few months later:

Raiders legend Daryle Lamonica, nicknamed 'The Mad Bomber,' dies at 80

:( RIP. A favorite team of mine during one of the peaks of my interest in pro football. Fun to watch, along with kicker/backup QB George Blanda.

This is extra sad.

I remember Morse as the star of "How to Succeed in Busiiness Without Really Trying".

Tony award winner and 'Mad Men' star Robert Morse dies at 90

Who can forget the wonderful "Groundhog!" number?

He did make it to 90, though.

Awww. :violin: , Useless. So much for "Ignored". You fail again. Plus, Useless, you've been busted too many times for anyone to believe you're not reading my posts, anyhow. It's just your excuse for cowering. Awww.
