Meet Aubie's new coach.

There will be a Clemson Tiger. Well, former Clemson Tiger roaming Aubie's sideline.

As outspoken as he against paying players, it appears that dabo has been fired in the past for paying players under the table.

Unless the 2 years as a real estate agent cured him, there's a good chance he still pays for players.
If true, that sucks.

When only one thing makes sense there's a good chance it's a Bingo thing.

Are there other examples of an experienced football coach taking 2 years off in the middle of his lifelong career to go learn to be a real estate agent?

That makes as much sense as lik bush getting a black eye from - what was it again - a potato chip or some equally didn't happen spin on getting hit in the face.

Maryland tried so hard to shield DJ Durkin from consequences for his own program's actions.
Maryland University is as much to blame for Jordan McNair's death.

I'm the wrong person to opine on that. My career path was pretty unusual, but I wasn't a football coach.

you know driven people, college coaches have driven personalities.

You should be able to answer this. If daboo is still paying players and gets caught, will 1cat defend daboo's crime against the school, team and players, or daboo?

We've seen that honesty, integrity, fairness, personal responsibility and obeying the law make zero difference to 1 FAT CAN.

Congratulations on Aubie's new hire, billy.pilgrim.

I've never seen Vrede post a message consoling the Jordan McNair family in the death of their son, owning up to Maryland's and DJ Durkin's negligence.

Disabled high school football coach gets award at 2019 ESPYS

... This year, ESPN is awarding high school football coach from San Jose California, Rob Mendez, with the Jimmy V Award for perseverance. Coach Mendez has overcome great obstacles through perseverance and determination, as he was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disease that caused him to be born without arms or legs.

While Mendez was unable to play football himself, he grew to be very passionate about the sport at a young age. He taught himself core fundamentals by playing the Madden video games, and eventually by coaching quarterback in his final year of high school. He was heavily overlooked for head coaching positions that he knew he was qualified for even after being the assistant coach for 12 years for various programs.

In 2018, Mendez was hired as a head coach for the junior varsity football team at Prospect High School, which he led to an 8-2 record and just barely lost the league championship game 3-0. His optimism and genuine love for his team made him an admired coach. Those close to him are inspired by the challenges he overcomes in his every day life.
Prospect High School JV was again 8-2 this year. College someday?

That is an inspiring story. I saw the vid on him on some other sports show not too long ago. Incredible guy.

Is that what they're wearing for helmets now in JV, or at that particular school? Haven't seen those before.

Idk. Maybe practice-only helmets?

Ah, it's a helmet cover.
https://www.amazon.com/Guardian-Cap-Sof ... ss&sr=1-31
Thanks.
Reduces impact up to 33%
Made me wonder about a question that someone else asked:
Question: Why can't the item be worn during a game? Also, are other colors available?

Answer: The NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) permits the use of Guardian Caps in games, but state associations are allowed to make a decision based on their rules. As it stands, most states that do not allow them is because of the look (as we cover up the team’s logo). Currently, 10-15 states do allow them, and many youth programs are utilizing them in games as well. We offer the Guardian Cap in Black, Red, Gold, Royal Blue, Camo (blue/grey), and Silver (which is a very light grey).
Could a state be sued by the parents of an injured player for not taking this uber-reasonable precaution?
