Well, that formerly promising season ended badly. Only the most recent of many. Ordinarily about this time I'd say "bring on basketball," but maybe not so much.

Yeah, not just this game but the whole season end.

GO:

Sat, 12/3

8:00 PM EST
(17) North Carolina 9-3 > (8) Clemson 10-2 (-7) in Charlotte, TV: ABC
Find your inner Chickens, Tar Heels.
Ugh.
Purdue 8-4 > (3) Michigan 12-0 (-14.5) in Indianapolis, TV: FOX
Possible Playoffs at stake for Michigan.
Awww, Purdue kept it interesting into the 4th, then collapsed.

Whose brilliant idea is it to schedule the ACC and Big Ten Championships for the same time?
4-8 :(

2022 FCS Football Championship - Quarterfinals
GO @4 Montana St. (11-1-0) > 5 William & Mary (11-1-0)
The high in Bozeman was 24°F today, but Weber St (Ogden, Utah) is used to cold. Maybe a 25°F high next week for the boys from Williamsburg, Virginia.

TCU held on to the #3 spot despite the OT loss. Ohio State may be happy about #4 so it doesn't have to face Michigan again to start.

Georgia, Michigan, TCU and Ohio State make College Football Playoff

GO Ohio State > Georgia (-6.5)!
I'm afraid that I would bet on Georgia to cover. :(
Go (ugh) Michigan (-9) > TCU.

Local sports guys were talking about the playoff games. This is one of those shows that are somewhat unfiltered. One of them goes on a rant about Deshaun Watson getting to play again, When asked about the LA Traitors losing to the Raiders and being (as of now) outside the playoffs, the guys all agreed "we don't care at all."

Anyway, on the college games, they agreed they're all just happy Alabama isn't in it, but one thought there might be some 'Bammer fans somewhere in Southern California so he said "No offence to the 'Rolling Tide" people ..." I don't know which was funnier - that he called them "rolling tide" or that nobody else on the show seemed to notice.

 I thought you were joking. Idk, I'm not sure that unranked 7-5 MD deserves better than #23 8-4 NC St. Surprisingly, MD is favored by 1. I guess it's a decently matched Bowl despite the Charlotte venue. Fri Dec 30 1200 EST on ESPN is good placement, too.

Did you know:
Duke's Mayonnaise ... is the third-largest mayonnaise brand in the United States (behind Hellmann's and Kraft) ...
Idk if I ever tried it, since I buy organic at the Co-op.

I very rarely eat mayo, but for things some people might use mayo I use a horseradish sauce. But I checked the fridge and we have a very old bottle of Hellman's light. I think Lady O may use it for cooking sometimes.

As to joking about the "mayonnaise bowl" it's sad, but it would be hard to think up silly bowl names that are sillier than some of the real ones.

For sandwiches I typically used Miracle Whip, but stopped a few years ago for the horseradish sauce. If I ever buy MW again I'm going to add horseradish. I think it will be the same.

Mayo is too easy to make.

Is there a Horseradish Bowl?

One of the reasons, maybe my prime reason, that I'm so gung ho about Freeze is that his hire means no Mr prime time PoS won't be at Auburn. His me, me me beliefs that he's the best in the world is just like trump. True, both can win, but they both destroy lives all around them. The things he's said to his team, I can't imagine coming from any other coach.

Not everybody is going to like a braggart like Neon Dion, but he is what he is, and has been since getting to FSU. Difference though in a "sham" like the article painted is that he has delivered on his boasts everywhere he's been. I'm not fond of the "God sent me" bit, but it's no worse than a bunch of other religiosity-wrapped coaches around.

One can argue if his talk with the team was much different from the much-maligned Musk rant, but hey - they went 1-11 and not much better the year before. Something needs to change - maybe it's some of the players.

Or a coach that just spent a few years promoting a religiosity-wrapped RW political org.

I still remember him stealing jewelry from a store in the st Pete mall and never facing consequences. I think that speaks to a character unfit for teaching kids anything. That,
his prime time bs and playing for the semi-holes.

I do agree that the article was way over the top, but ...
