Ummm, that would be 20 years with Fox.
Their linked sub-headline even reads, "Aikman has worked as the lead analyst on Fox since 2002." Ah, they posted a correction within the hour:
Sports Illustrated
@SInow

After 20 years*
Wish he would head to the NHL
And just like that, every one will mute Monday night
So, Brady going to Fox?

Seahawks traded Wilson to Denver. Bastards.
:(

He can stop it if he wants to.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/334 ... er-broncos
... Upon Wilson's approval to waive his no-trade clause, the Seahawks will send him to Denver, ending his historic 10-season run in Seattle that included nine Pro Bowl selections, one Super Bowl title and more wins than any quarterback ever has posted during his first 10 seasons in the league.

The Broncos were Wilson's preference, if he was traded, sources told ESPN's Brady Henderson....

The Broncos' odds to win the Super Bowl improved from 25-1 to 12-1 Tuesday at Caesars Sportsbook. Only three teams -- the Buffalo Bills (15-2), Kansas City Chiefs (8-1) and Green Bay Packers (10-1) have better odds to win the Super Bowl than the Broncos at Caesars Sportsbook.
Funny that the Rams, Bengals and 49r's don't top the list.
The Seahawks, meanwhile, saw their odds to win the Super Bowl fall from 40-1 to 75-1 at Caesars.

Wilson beat the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII and will become the first quarterback to start for a team they beat in the Super Bowl, according to ESPN Stats & Information research....

The Seahawks take on $26 million in dead money by trading Wilson. Per ESPN Stats & Information research, that's the second-most dead money a team has ever incurred, trailing the $33.8 million the Philadelphia Eagles ate in the Carson Wentz trade.
What is dead money?

Sounds like he wanted to leave. There's more detail in other articles. We'll see, it's not like the Seahawks have been burning up the league lately.
... Wilson's trade comes 13 months after his frustrations with the organization bubbled to the surface. He publicly complained last February about the all the hits and sacks he had taken over his career -- lobbying for the team to improve his pass protection -- and about his perceived lack of say in personnel matters relative to other top quarterbacks....

Wilson leaves Seattle as the franchise's career leader in most relevant passing categories and the only quarterback to win a Lombardi Trophy for the Seahawks.

The Seahawks are scheduled to play a home game against the Broncos next season.

If you trade Russell Wilson just to start Drew Lock for 17 games, the city of Seattle should honestly press charges.
Also, 49'ers are happy.

Can't believe 70 year old Pete Carroll is at all happy with this.

He can't want to be any part of a rebuild.

:D , but I meant angry at Wilson when he visits as a Bronco. Sadly, I think the 49r's are more worried about the Rams and even Arizona.

Would have worked better if they had bought some offensive line beasts that would have done better keeping Wilson off his back. And hadn't traded off people like Sherman, who went to the SB this year while the "Hawks stayed home. Apparently Wilson hasn't been happy all year, but it still seems it wouldn't be in any best interest of the Seahawks to send him off. I'm guessing next season is going to be bad, and Pete will go out with a bust.

Take it from someone who knows a little about bad quarterbacking.

Maybe your Chicago Cubs should switch from baseball to football. They couldn't be any worse at football than they are at baseball. Plus, last time I checked, the MLB season is being delayed.

I need a new team. Seahawks suck.
It's officially an end of an era in Seattle.

The Seahawks are releasing All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The news comes on the same day Seattle reportedly traded longtime quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster deal.

The Seahawks will save $16.6 million in cap space by cutting Wagner, adds Schefter.

Wagner put together a Hall of Fame-caliber decade with the NFC West club, most notably acting as an integral part of the legendary defense that led Seattle to a Super Bowl win during the 2013 season.

The linebacker earned six first-team All-Pro nominations, two second-team nods, and eight Pro Bowl appearances in 10 seasons. He also twice led the league in tackles (2016 and 2019) and was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.

Wagner will get a head start on free agency, and he'll likely be in demand after another impressive season in which he recorded the third-most tackles in the league with 170.

Seattle selected Wagner in the second round of the 2012 draft, a class that also featured Wilson, who the Seahawks picked in the third round.
