Re: NFL Football
Um, if "no one cares", why do Sluggo and company keep harping on a minor punctuation error?
Very very extremely very SAD!
Sluggo: Once a hall monitor, always a hall monitor!

You fail comprehension, yet again. It's because you're so easy to keep wound up about it. That's how brittle your ego is.Vrede too wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:20 amviewtopic.php?p=155404#p155404Instead, you just keep whining and whining because I and "Rocketman" GoCubsGo are making fun of you. So sad.
Po' widdle Useless is desperately deflecting from the obvious fact that he was clueless about how Garoppolo performed vs Kaaron Bay.

Whiny, cowering, clueless Useless, r you okay?
Awww. , Useless.

Don't even have to open it. I know it will be some sort of anal retentive BS.

I'm pretty sure nowhere I ever went to school had "hall monitors." Is that a real thing, or just a "Simpsons" bit?

We had street crossing guards in elementary school. Nobody was reviled. But related, can you imagine sending a 5-6th grader out by themselves to do traffic/pedestrian control now? Helicopter moms heads would explode.

Ah, but we have the 21st Century digital equivalent of hall monitors here today on BRD.
I'll let you guess who they are.

Re: NFL Football
So I looked up "hall monitor" and apparently they serve a useful purpose in the schools that use them. It would seem the only people who would have wanted to revile them would be the ones who were disruptive, running in the hall, shoving people around, or doing something else against the rules the monitor was supposed to be preventing. So if the rule was you had to have a hall pass, and you didn't have one and the monitor reported you, then of course it's the hall monitors fault. Is that the way it went?

Idaho company registers website that suggests new name for NFL’s Washington Football Team
Commanders.com
"Admirals" wasn't even on the list. Idk what's up with that. This took 14 months?! "Commanders" has kind of an S&M vibe, doesn't it?... The Washington Football team — previously known as the Redskins, a name that came under increasing criticism over a number of years for being derogatory toward American Indians — is set to announce the team’s new name on Wednesday....
The team considered a number of new names and narrowed the list to Commanders and seven other possibilities, including continued use of Washington Football Team. In September, Washington co-owner and CEO Tanya Snyder confirmed the other names under consideration were Presidents, Brigade, Commanders, Armada, Red Hogs and Defenders....

So for this weekend's game at SoFi, the current cheapest nosebleed ticket is $600. But parking in the stadium lot is $300, or, if you park at a "nearby" high school you only pay $250. Some people are selling parking in their yards for as "low" as $175, but not really very close to the stadium.
But hey, the food's good, right? Umm, not so much.
And then you can ante up $12 for a 12oz cup of Corona beer.

The cheeseburger sub at the new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood looks like the burger version of a beat-up Mister Fantastic. It’s a cheeseburger with a slightly overcooked patty blanketed in an impressively long, single piece of American cheese, with pickles, chopped onions and the usual condiments. The entire submarine burger hybrid is pulled and flattened to nearly a foot long, and it looks and tastes like someone stretched a McDonald’s cheeseburger.
And then you can ante up $12 for a 12oz cup of Corona beer.

Fwiw, there are buses to SoFi and a free shuttle from the nearest light rail staion, which is a "39 minute" walk from the stadium.O Really wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 9:29 pmSo for this weekend's game at SoFi, the current cheapest nosebleed ticket is $600. It doesn't break my heart if drivers either have to plan ahead or pay.
Sofi: Plan Your Visit
One could do Whack9's water bottle hack to sneak 20 ozs of vodka, white tequila or gin in. I can't find any restrictions on outside food, but there is a limit on volume.Outside beverages are not permitted inside SoFi Stadium except one (1) factory-sealed 20 oz. or less water bottle, soft-sided single juice or milk containers, or medically required liquids in a sealed container.
Empty reusable water bottles are permitted for use at our hydration stations located throughout SoFi Stadium.
For all events at SoFi Stadium, permitted bags should be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed 12" x 6" x 12”.
