I'd guess about 10% believers to 90% grifters. Don't know if that's right or not, but somehow it feels better to live among thieves than among certifiable idiots.

The thing that ticks me off about this is that in declaring bankruptcy, they will:
1) Claim a big tax loss and avoid taxes on other big earnings ($50 mil is chicken scratch to billionaires like Thiel....
2) Leave their creditors holding the bag in bankruptcy, while their own personal assets are protected by corporation status.
3). Then they will try to scam some sort of government subsidy for a "covid" loss....
4) They will use publicly supported (socialist) courts (that they claim to hate) that will have to spend millions clearing this bankruptcy away, on the taxpayer's ticket....

Yeah, the nation needs capitalist risk takers in the economy, but don't confuse them with being "heroes" of some sort. They took a stupid risk with other peoples money and made sure they were protected.
