Kenney's response to the Alberta fires earlier this year was pretty much to play his fiddle and encourage people to buy marshmellows.

:lol: Yeah, that and he got dinged for his dual American citizenship - sorta along the Cruz line. Trudeau has endured some self-inflicted wounds over the past year of so, though, and he's fortunate to stay in office. Conservatives in power would have been an awful mess, particularly with the Trump wannabe Premiers Ford and Kenney "helping out." Sad - remember when rstrong used to say he was a Conservative, and would explain how he differed from what current Americans this is "conservative"? Well, unfortunately, the difference has gotten smaller.

Donald Trump's 'Home Alone 2' scene cut by CBC — and Don Jr. says it's 'pathetic'

... "The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to the plot. These edits were done in 2014 when we first acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected president." ...
Once again, crybaby perpetual victims Donald Trump Jr. and Trumpettes are "pathetic”.

It would be nice if we could just edit Trump's presidency out of the country's history.

Already done. Speculation over where they'll live, what they'll do - but also yammer about not wanting Canada to have to pay for security.

False flag, creating the opportunity for:
... Canadians quickly attacked the Prime Minister for his decision to choose a pricier bakery, rather than a fast food joint, such as Tim Horton's.

Oh Doughnuts promptly replied with a lengthy list of social media posts, explaining the importance of supporting local businesses.

From ingredients, to benefits plans for their employees, Oh Doughnuts listed off the reasons people should visit local stores like bakeries....

-Tim’s doughnuts are not made fresh in each shop-they are trucked in frozen from a plant in ON
-Tim’s does not use local or organic ingredients where possible, and their cups are not compostable;

Canada's Trudeau stresses the need for peaceful end to pipeline protests

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday called for a peaceful solution to end rail blockades by indigenous rights groups protesting the construction of a natural gas pipeline.

Indigenous communities across Canada have blocked key rail lines for nearly two weeks to oppose construction of the Coastal GasLink pipeline in British Columbia, which has forced Canada's biggest railroad, Canadian National Railway Co, to shut operations in eastern Canada....
Canada very well may resort to mass arrests rather than negotiate on the pipeline, but it sounds like it's less likely to brutalize protestors like was done in ND and elsewhere.

It's an interesting tactic. I don't know whether the RRs are complicit in the pipeline, but the multiple occupations are having a much more rapid economic impact than a single occupation in isolated ND did, and it will be harder for the authorities to hide any dirty deeds. It's also reproducible by any size group wherever there's a rail line, no matter how far from Alberta and BC it is.

I wouldn't want to be in Trudeau's job. I'm opposed to the pipeline, but you really can't let people, indigenous or newcomers, block the railroads. And you can't let yourself be extorted, either. Paying for hostages only creates more hostage situations.
