Traveling

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Well sure the Simpsons town is fictionalized and the show intentionally makes it vague intentionally. But Portland native Groening is the one who confirmed the Oregon Springfield as the original. Speaking of others though, there's a mobile Moe's Tavern that is out of Mass that provides an interactive experience of Simpsons.

Thanks, I can now see the Rick Scott tweet :puke-left: , and ones posted to news articles. However, when I click on a tweet I'm still sent to a registration page. So, I'm now unable to read replies and won't be able to share tweets I find elsewhere. I think I'll survive.

:D Thank you for your sympathy.

To be accurate, I can't directly post tweets I find elsewhere. However, I can just copy and paste text and pics. So, all I'm really losing is the replies, and usually I'd wade through a bunch of boring posts and garbage in order to find a few gems. Elon is now keeping me away from the ads entirely. Smart.

Excerpt from the article I linked in "Fascism"
Twitter’s dying, in case you haven’t heard. The World’s Richest Man bought it — and the press showered him with adulation. A genius! Surely, a visionary! And yet here we are, a few scant months later. And this “business visionary” has just…had to…put in place…viewing limits…for a platform…he’s trying to sell…ads on. LOL.

Imagine having to walk into a boardroom. And even if you can bat away the question, “So, what are you going to do about my Mega Brand being right next to a crackpot who thinks vaccines don’t work and Hitler was a pretty good dude, like, for example, ‘Moms for Liberty?’ — even if you can somehow answer that, what are you going to say when the next question is: “What’s the point of me spending Big Bucks on ads…when you’re limiting people to viewing a few minutes worth of tweets per day?”

I'm guessing this guy will realize relatively soon that a side trip to N Korea wasn't the best decision in his life.

It honestly amazes me that planes don't fall out of the sky every day. The incompetence and bureaucracy is staggering.

The airline said her bag was lost, but her tracker said otherwise. So she flew to get it

Literal, real-life 5-minute solution: "Chicago baggage, this is Phred" "Hey Phred, this is Don in Denver. Could you look to see if there's a large black bag with purple stripes and a long net thingy sticking out of it over by baggage return" "There is? great. send it to us. Thanks"

But would they do it? Nooooo!

Personal disclaimer: I did a lot of work for some airlines back in the day, and on advisory requests as recently as last year, and they've every bit as screwed up as you think/are afraid they are. If there are If there is more than one way to do something, they'll take the most complicated way every time.
