Animals

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Nice perspective!
Spoiler:

Another view:
Whale whomping: Jumping humpback lands on boat; no one hurt

I hope the whale is okay. Too many boats in a small area where whales were known to be present :x .
This was inevitable.

:) That's as blatant a play as I've ever seen for an advertising gig. I'd be happier about it if I didn't hate the LiMu commercials.

Thought she said somewhere they approached her and told her to have fun with it. Hence the response from Limu and Doug.

They approached her and told her it's okay to give them free advertising without paying her? That was damn nice of them.

I'll be that it was more than a little. Enough to buy her entire farm would be birdfeed ( ;) ) to Liberty. What do you bet on her appearing in their broadcast ads, maybe even in the very well done Doug and LiMu costumes?

Hope so, I'm rooting for her.

Today's adventure.
We've been to a bunch of dino museums and dug for bones in Wyoming. Should be fun to walk with the animatronics even if it is somewhat kid-centric.

Didn't really happen unless you post a pic of Lady O's torso with her head hidden in the mouth of a T-Rex.

I think we actually have a pic of my head in a dino skull mouth from the Wyoming Dinosaur Center.

Plans?

It's pretty amazing to go down into what was once a water trap for mammoths, bears, lions etc.

Probably not. It would be cool indeed, but we should have gone on the trip to Mt. Rushmore (yawn) and Custer State Park (yay), but we've seen a lot of dinosaurs and South Dakota is a long way from anywhere. Our next dino trip is going to be the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology outside Calgary,

If you love dinosaurs, the Royal Tyrrell Museum is the ultimate experience. Home to one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaur skeletons, the Royal Tyrrell Museum is a world-renowned museum and research facility. This Drumheller dinosaur museum is home to more than 40 dinosaur skeletons that expertly reveal the history of life presented by fossils, with an emphasis on the dinosaurs originating in Alberta. Search for fossils, dig in a realistic quarry, cast your own fossil, enjoy a self-guided tour through the Canadian Badlands around the museum, and take a moment to marvel at the rare, blackened tyrannosaurus rex skull named “Black Beauty” when you visit.

Nope. It was supposed to be summer of 2020, but nooooo! Effin' pandemic and Canada closing. We had reservations, tickets, and also a couple of weeks of prime Canadian summer at Banff and Lake Louise. Would've Cruised Canada 1 back over to Vancouver and then south. Maybe next year.
