Can't make this (stuff) up

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Hah.

I used to hang with some people in my high school years who used to collect and care for ... rattlesnakes. I was even given a small one to take home to "care for" a week or so while other quarters were made ready. Scared my mom and younger sister out of their wits. One thing I have noticed: people who are good at handling reptiles tend to be somewhat deficient when it comes to people skills. Although one of our group was a great raconteur and I still have some audio tapes of him entertaining us with monologues around the campfire - some of which were borrowed from Bill Cosby... he passed about about 10 years ago and Cosby AFAIK is still in prison.

Bill Cosby has been out of prison since his conviction was vacated on June 30, 2021. This was big, unmissable news. Pay attention. Hah.

Further simplified:
Useless is either poor "at handling reptiles" or is "somewhat deficient when it comes to people skills." The latter is pretty clear.

The principle may be true. neoplacebo has excellent people skills and he stomps lizards.

 You won't see lizards around here anymore. I think the snake handling sect has even gone out of business or just lying low. Maybe they all handle snakes like a dog handles a tree. And now they're dead.

Oh, don't worry. The snake handlers will be back sooner or later. Maybe not the snake-bit ones, though. Although my high school buddies didn't handle snakes for pseudo-religious purposes. They handled them primarily because they were slightly insane. I'm sure you can relate to that.

And, if you decide to go stomping rattlesnakes, wear hip-boots. At the very least. And for the really big ones, wear hip-gloves and a leather vest. We wouldn't want to lose you prematurely.

In south Texas they have organized, as well as unorganized, rattlesnake hunts regularly. There's even a festival, with a rattlesnake barbeque.

Spoiler:
Monster pays her. Any PR is good PR and she is thus a tool of Satan.

Hah! Great minds, very first comments:
This woman is a better advertisement for monster than anything they could've ever paid for
I know the guys at Monster are like write that down! 666, Feed The Beast, AntiChrist, this mom is a marketing genius!
Monster releases their new ad...

"Bottoms up, and the devil laughs!"

If they paid her to use that copy would she spend the money?

Not to give any credence to gross ignorance and stupidity, but the main problem with her ummm, "presentation" is that even if all she says about the can is true (the symbols really do mean 666), then she still hasn't established any direct link to the Devil or for that matter that there is a Devil who likes Monster. In short, Objection - conclusion not supported by evidence presented. Sit down, wench.

Well, I suppose it could all depend on whether the listener or viewer believes all the crap about the Devil and numerology. It's quite possible that those who designed the Monster can were completely fed up with the nonsense. IDK, I don't think I've ever tried Monster soda. But I might just buy a can now to put in my $.02 with Satan.
