What are you watching?

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Pretty good. Would have been better if she had tilted her shoulders, but still good enuf.
That was from Cubs. You may have missed chris waken reading Where the Wild Things Are, or maybe you just didn't like it

OK, sorry. I just focused on the horse's ass.

Walken stresses me out, for some reason. Maybe creeps is a better term.

NTTAWWT.
I'll go with creepy but few can claim both The Deer Hunter and that ping pong movie.

I am not familiar with "that ping pong movie", but Will Ferrell is the star of the cowbell skit.
I could look up the name but it ain't that important - it's just one of those terrible movies that come on at 3 a.m. he isn't the star in it either.
Could be that the movie making people understand that even his fans have a Walken threshold.

Well I was bored, so:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balls_of_Fury

Sounds like the silliest movie of the early 21st Century...
That's it

"On Rotten Tomatoes the film has an approval rating of 22% based on 130 reviews, with an average score of 4/2/10. The site's consensus reads: "Tasteless, yet harmless, Balls of Fury nevertheless fails to generate enough laughs despite its lowbrow intentions".[2] On Metacritic the film has a score of 38 out of 100 based on 26 reviews, indicating "generally unfavorable reviews."[3"

I started watching this youtube series called Soft White Underbelly

It's a bunch of interviews with prostitutes, gang members, drug deals/users, homeless folks etc living on skid row and telling their stories.

It's really interesting.

Thanks. Not positive that I'll watch, but I've been skipping over the sports listings and didn't even notice it. Here, Episodes 1 & 2 are on at 9 & 10 and 12 & 1 ET.
The Last Dance (2020 TV series)

The Last Dance is a 2020 sports documentary miniseries focusing on the 1997–98 Chicago Bulls. The series features film from a crew that had an all-access pass to the Bulls during the National Basketball Association (NBA) season. The 10-part miniseries was announced by ESPN in 2018 with an official trailer released on December 24, 2019.

Critical response

The Last Dance received widespread critical acclaim. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 100% approval rating with an average score of 8.38 out of 10, based on 10 reviews. On Metacritic, it has a weighted average score of 90 out of 100, based on 8 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".

Foyle's War - average to good detective show set in England at the beginning of WWII - interesting back stories. Contemplative detective, cute strong willed girl is supposed to be his driver only and new assistant in episode 2 who lost a leg in episode 1.
Recurring characters but thankfully all are stand alone episodes.
That limier guy can probably watch without the closed caption feature.

The best thing I've ever seen on television was about twenty years ago; a PBS series titled "Connections" hosted by James Burke. It's a factual account of how and why things are they way they are and how we got to that point. Best thing I've ever seen on tv. One episode here.

Yes, "Connections" was a good one.

I'm very much into just about any documentary that PBS runs. Have recorded many to DVD as well. But i think Connections was before the digital signal/DVD recorder.
Yeah, I've seen several episodes of it; not sure how long ago it was on. I was guessing twenty years but maybe longer ago than that. Burke is a very fine teacher.
