Wingnut Man states that aren't Florida, Alabama, Georgia, or the Carolinas

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

The Charger selling girlfriend murderer is a relative of yours? :P
Have you read it?

No.

He was more than they could handle.

Ah, just like neoplacebo.

Could be.

Figures, it is Tennessee. ;)

There's a five year old girl that's been missing for six days now in Hawkins County, which borders my county, Sullivan. Last night the father of the kid was on the news but I think he's involved and maybe responsible for the kid being missing. He didn't seem to be displaying the sort of concern or emotion that I expect I would if I were in the same situation. I'm gonna keep an eye on him.

Any update?

Nurse mailed poop, bloody feminine products to husband’s ex-wife in Tennessee, feds say

... Della Marie Gibson Lathum was charged with two counts of sending biohazardous materials through the mail in a criminal complaint filed June 9. Lathum is from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and worked as a nurse at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, a postal inspector with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said in the complaint.

A spokesperson for the hospital told media outlets Lathum no longer works there....

Lathum reportedly told investigators she did it to show “the kids” the truth about her husband’s ex-wife....

Court filings show Lathum was arrested June 11. In releasing her, the judge ordered Lathum to stay away from her husband’s ex-wife and her children and not to look for another job in the medical field.

The federal complaint follows several state charges of harassment, stalking and vandalism in Loudon County — where the ex-wife lives, WBIR reported.

Lathum was also accused of mailing harassing letters in April — including one using hospital property with the words “New Patient” stamped on the front, WATE reported, citing arrest warrants. Another letter mailed to the ex-wife’s minor daughter was reportedly disguised as a party invitation.

According to the TV station, the letter said “you are poor white trash faking a fancy life” and “your mom is broke and lazy and won’t pay her bills.”

Lathum was also accused of vandalizing the ex-wife’s car in a high school parking lot during a student banquet in March, causing more than $1,000 in damages, WATE reported....
Damn, she looks so sweet:

The little girl is still missing and I'm still suspicious. Dad says he thinks she's a human trafficking victim, but she disappeared from the basement of a rural house. And I forgot to post the link to the shit mailer last night; was in a whirling dervish high intensity papal state and things got out of hand.

I see that mom is posting TikToks about the search. Idk if that's suspicious or not.

Yahoo may have started featuring weird Tennessee news for me:
Tennessee Burger King shooting: 2 arrested after spicy chicken sandwich dispute

Tennessee police arrested two people accused of shooting up a Burger King after a dispute over a spicy chicken sandwich.

Tavarus McKinney, 22, and Keona Halliburton, 20, reportedly got into a fight June 6 with employees at a Memphis Burger King after Halliburton complained that her sandwich had too much hot sauce on it.

The pair left the restaurant, only to return a few minutes later and start shooting, injuring two people, according to FOX 13 Memphis.

Four witnesses identified McKinney and Halliburton to police, and they were arrested Wednesday.

McKinney’s background check reportedly revealed nine previous cases and 10 warrants, with charges including aggravated assault, kidnapping and domestic assault.

Haliburton is scheduled to appear in court on June 28, facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and employment of a firearm during a felony, WREG reported.

McKinney's court date has not yet been scheduled.

There was another Burger King shooting in Tennessee in April after a customer got fed up with the long wait in the drive-thru.
Seriously, over a fast food sandwich?

I only get original recipe; none of that spicy fake chemical spicy for me. The missing kid is still missing. I expect she will be found buried somewhere near the property. Over a week now; a 5 year old wouldn't make it. shit

In California (and most states), a person needs 1600 hours of study and passing an exam to be a cosmetologist and keep Caitlyn's hair, nails, and makeup looking glam. In California (and most states) you only have to fill out a couple of forms to run for governor. How can it even be imaginable, much less actual fact, that states have no minimum requirements for their highest leadership/management office?

Here's the listed qualifications for an "Office Specialist" in the small California town of Oraville:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one (1) year experience in clerical, administrative or secretarial duties in a professional office environment; six (6) months of Butte County experience preferred. An Associate's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a related field or a Certificate of Achievement in computer applications, business management, office assistant or legal office assistant from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience.
• Valid State of California driver's license may be required.
Well, the big difference is that state governors are selected by the voting population, not by a personnel department or hiring manager.

And I respectfully submit that is the way it should be, despite such awful selections like DeSantis, Kemp, and Trump. To name just a few.

And in California, as least Newsom had a trial run in govt as mayor of a major city (San Francisco).

Nothing to keep a city, county, state or nation to set minimum qualifications to run for office. In fact, there are some, like minimum age or criminal record. Fortunately, most people who actually get elected to higher office do have some contributory experience - at least they used to before Trump. DeSantis is awful, but he's not Caitlin. He's a lawyer who's been in Congress. Since Trump, though, loons like Cawthorn, who would have been filtered out early before, have now managed to actually win an election.

Yes, all that is deplorable.

I wonder why we are seeing such disasters like Trump and Cawthorn getting elected...

Also, Dems are the alternative.

In NC11 Mad had no real political experience other than being a low level aide to Meadows. However:
Before him Mark Meadows had an AA - he lied about having a BA - and was only a party hack, never holding any elected political office.
Before him Dem Heath Shuler was a lousy NFL QB and then a realtor, never having been involved in politics at all.
We have to go way back to 1990 to find a Rep, Repug "Chainsaw" Charlie Taylor, who was a lawyer and state legislator when he was first elected to Congress, and he turned out to be massively corrupt and otherwise awful.

For whatever reasons, NC11 voters have sucked for a long time.

The article doesn't say when Neill was a "candidate for Congress and the state Senate". I don't recall voting for him, but I may have.

I made a point of including Dem Shuler above.

Apparently Neill was a crook, but otherwise a fine citizen and worthy candidate. Of course, this guy probably has since regretted his full-throated endorsement:

I once shook hands with "Chainsaw" Charles Taylor. It was probably in 1986 or possibly earlier. He was running for Congress and touring the place I was working, a defense contractor in Arden, NC. He and his entourage just happened to stop at my desk and he introduced himself and stuck out his hand. I was going "who is this asshole and why is he fucking with me?" I just shook his hand, muttered my name in shame, and left early to get drunk.
