Does she not have anybody on her pretend staff that would tell her that the separation isn't to protect the government, but to protect religion. If there were no separation, churches would be subject to the same laws as all other businesses or non-profits. There would be no more laws protecting against religious discrimination. They would be taxed. Individual sects could be banned, along with practically any practice or ritual.

What she seems to be wanting is not separation, but a theocracy. Of course, she wouldn't like that either because it would likely be the Catholics that would run it.
