Ukraine

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

This is tiresome. If you want to join in the discussion of my question, below, that's good. If you don't, that's fine too, just say so.

Not to defend Russians killing off children and other civilians, but I do have a question as to who is a "combatant." It would seem that in Ukraine, not just official members of the military are combatants, but pretty much everybody (to their credit) has joined in. According to the rules of war, if a civilian (or 12-year old) is shooting at you or chunks a Molotov cocktail in your direction, can you then shoot them?

Maybe the concept of "hypothetical" is confusing.
Make up your mind.

First you say I answered your hypothetical statement "nicely".

Now, apparently you are confused by your own statement.

As for you snide remark that I may find the "concept of "hypothetical" confusing, nope. Try again.
Ummm, As you quoted O Really was CLEARLY talking about me.

Are you Russian ;) , or are you messing with Useless? If the latter, mission accomplished.
GoCubsGo had posted regarding a "for the children" bomb into a train station. I asked an unrelated hypothetical question regarding who can be considered a combatant, which you answered nicely. Neoplacebo also addressed the question. Ulysses then asked out of nowhere about weapons in a train station. Since that wasn't responsive to my question, it seemed reasonable to ask "what train station?"
You just proved his point about how easily you get confused. Good one.

Even though you're an idiot and we all know it, I hate the idea of anyone mistaking me for you. :( :puke-left:

What is the evidence that 12 year old Ukrainians are shooting at or "chunkiing" Molotov cocktails at Russian soldiers?

Because with no such evidence, your question is purely hypothetical.

Your gotcha was a 3-way failure.

Duh, that's the whole point. O Really's OP on the tangent:

I see that I asked for evidence and you haven't provided any, so I'm not sure what it is you want to discuss.

One does not have to produce evidence to support a hypothetical question.

Since it was ALWAYS a "hyothetical [sic]" discussion from when O Really first launched the tangent over a day ago - pay attention! - why did you join in at all? Are you really this stupid or are you desperately trying to cover for your stupidity, which ironically would also be stupid?

 The tally hole has just one listing. But it also has the infinity symbol. You'd think that would be the end of it.     Opps! That's only half an infinity symbol.....so it's the "about" symbol I guess trying to conflate two disparate things as somehow intimately related. Who's to say?

It's not an infinity symbol. It's not even "half an infinity symbol", whatever that is in your twisted brain.

It's called a "tilde". Look it up.

Well, OK, you probably can't google anyway. Figures.

Ukraine has seized the assets of captured Putin ally Viktor Medvedchuk, including 50 homes, 26 cars, 30 plots of land, and one yacht

Image
Ukrainian authorities said on Thursday they seized assets belonging to Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian politician and Kremlin ally who was arrested earlier this week.

Medvedchuk was captured by Ukraine's security services while trying to flee the country after escaping house arrest in February. Medvedchuk, who leads a pro-Russian opposition party, was charged with treason last year.

The Ukrainian politician is a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is the godfather of Medvedchuk's youngest daughter.

Medvedchuk was also thought to be Putin's top choice for replacing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a pro-Russia puppet leader if Russian forces had taken Kyiv. Ukraine even offered Russia Medvedchuk in exchange for Ukrainian prisoners — a proposal the Kremlin declined....
Good.

Russia admits Black Sea flagship sinks after Ukraine claims missile strike

It was a big, important ship:

Whether or not it was Ukrainian missiles - I think it was - it counts as a war loss and is a HUGE deal.
