Moronic Kevin McCarthy

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Then, if I cared enough to follow his local news I'd guess that a very lucrative banking industry job is a certainty. They gotta show appreciation for services rendered.
Think Board of Directors, probably for more than one bank or institution.

Get paid well for about an hours work per month.

Wouldn't that be the best history ever?

Speaker Jefferies mid term.

C'mon wingnuts, you can do it!

From your lips, guys . . .
Three reasons Republicans could lose their House majority before 2024

With Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announcing he will retire at the end of the year, Rep. George Santos’s (R-NY) expulsion, and Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) leaving for another role, House Republicans could lose their majority before 2024.

House Republicans hold a razor-thin four-seat majority, but that number will drop to two going into the new year. The margin for error for House Republicans is essentially invisible.

Kevin McCarthy

The House is at 221-213 with Santos’s seat vacant, and the departures of McCarthy and Johnson will leave Republicans with only three votes they can afford to lose....

"No matter the odds, or personal cost, we did the right thing," McCarthy wrote in a Wall Street Journal op-ed about his time in Congress. "That may seem out of fashion in Washington these days, but delivering results for the American people is still celebrated across the country." ...
What "results"? :headscratch:
George Santos

After the expulsion of Santos on Friday, Republicans have to maintain their majority through another special election before the general election in 2024....
Historically Dem seat with Santos' narrow election a surprise, guaranteed that a Dem wins the special election and 2024 general.
Bill Johnson

Johnson announced he will not seek reelection in 2024 after accepting a job offer to become president of Youngstown State University. He will serve in Congress for several more months before starting his new role....
Those poor students, profs and staff :( Johnson is a crappy MAGAt rep and the district is solid red:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_John ... al_history
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio%27s_ ... wide_races
The seat is not going to flip  , but the article doesn't say how long it might be vacant, and if and when there will be a special election.

Idk about an ouster of the new SINO, but on any given vote all it will take is for a couple of disgruntled and/or patriotic Repubs to join the Dems to the nation's benefit.

-0-? I think they've been okay since Moronic ex-SINO McCarthy groveled to Mar-a-Lardo to kiss the ring in late Jan 2021.

IIRC the ouster wasn't Dolt .45's doing. It's not like TRE45QN will have a lot of semi-competent Cabinet choices if elected.

The Plan B is if trump is not elected.

If he's elected we're all doomed and I don't care.

Ah. There will be openings for self-described elder "statesmen" to appoint themselves to pick up the pieces of the shattered GQP.

I read a story this morning about Kevin taking part in a debate at Oxford University. At one point in his remarks, he said "when I look at the Democrats, I see America; when I look at my party I see the most exclusive country club in America." Some may already have known about this; it was during the same talk where Kevin said the US has never acquired territory after the end of a war. So, he was correct once and wrong once.

American Indian Wars
Mexican–American War: Remember the Alamo, Kevin. Duh.
Mexico cedes to the U.S. present-day California, Texas, New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada, Arizona, and parts of Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming for $15 million
A California Rep ought to know where California came from, Kevin.
Pig War: San Juan Islands awarded to the United States
Second Samoan Civil War: United States acquires American Samoa
Spanish–American War
Spain relinquishes sovereignty over Cuba; cedes Puerto Rico, Guam and the Philippines to the United States.
Philippine–American War and Moro Rebellion: US occupation for 50 years
Banana Wars: US occupation of multiple Caribbean and Central American nations
WW2: Long term US occupation of multiple lands
Others
Typical clueless, poorly educated MBA.

So Kevin McCarthy is acknowledging his party looks like a white supremacist party?
Now that Kevin’s country club membership has been revoked - he’s mad at the country club. But it was all just swell when he was their guy. Such a coward.
