The Music Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Sorta.
Chimichanga vs burrito: so what’s the difference?
So, if your burrito is deeply fried, then it’s a chimichanga; if it’s not deep-fried, then it’s a burrito. That’s the most fundamental difference between burrito and chimichanga. But what are the other key differences that make these foods unique?

Both have similar ingredients; however, chimichangas are often served with more meat and fewer vegetables. Burritos tend to have more beans and rice fillings than chimichangas, as these ingredients aren’t always as easy to deep fry.

One major difference is the way that chimichangas are served. Burritos are generally rolled up in foil and eaten with the hands, whereas deep-fried chimichangas are served on a plate. Because of this, chimichangas can be easily topped with layers of sauce or melted cheese on the outside of the deep-fried burrito.

All that extra sauce and melted cheese on top of a chimichanga make it much harder to eat with the hands, so you’ll probably need a knife and fork to get the job done!

Speaking of burritos... I was quite disappointed today when I went to the local Costco business center and couldn't find any El Monterey Chicken and Cheese Chimichangas. Usually I'd buy them in a 18 unit package, but they had none and when I asked at the front desk, the lady said there are none on order. So they may have been discontinued there. Perhaps Safeway or Lucky's/Albertsons will have them? Probably for a higher price if they do. I compromised and got some Steak and Cheese Burritos instead.

Meh, I never cared for burritos. I especially don't care for them in the music thread. Hell, you can't listen or dance to them. Shit, I guess I'll mosey on over to the food thread and start posting about music and use the same logic there......you can't eat music.

That was my fault - sorry. I posted "... also the Good Guys show in Del Mar, food stands and trucks. Reminded me of "Hotel California"
"...warm smell of burritos rising up in the air..." and it sorta went downhill from there.

But I did also post some Nortena music to eat burritos by.

He's been a favorite of mine for over 50 years. I'm not sure about this forum, but I've used the racoon as my avatar a few times. Magnolia and Crazy Mama are a couple of greats.

Yeah, he was incredible. I was real upset when he died a few years ago. Still got a lot of his music, though. The songs you named are great, but then just about everything he did was, too. One of my favorites...
