In Germany you can play “street pong” while waiting to cross the road.

In Germany, pedestrians can play ping pong while they wait to cross the road. This installation was created by engineering students from HAWK university and quickly became a hit. Imagine getting to play a quick game of ping pong with a stranger across the street while waiting for the red light. Brilliant!

This would be even cooler if LEDs were set up to appear to be a ball traveling under the road with LED "paddles" set up on the curbs.

This kinetic sidewalk generates electricity when you walk on it.
