Go Milwaukee > Boston.

Hey!

I watched with one eye open.

The Bulls made some big strides this year, in the first half they looked legit.

Unfortunately, they had to play the second half...they were pretty beat up and had the toughest schedule in the league.

The cream definitely did not rise to the top, they were mostly atrocious.

But it's a pretty good starting point for a new regime.

Getting too cluttered, new version. Does Round 1 really need to be 7 games?

No preference:

Utah vs Dallas. Series tied 2-2.
Dallas leads series 3-2.
Atlanta vs Miami (leads series 2-1).
Miami leads series 3-1.
Heat won series 4-1.
New Orleans vs Phoenix (leads series 2-1).
Series tied 2-2. Suns lead series 3-2.

GO:

Golden State (leads series 3-0) > Denver, but I don't hate Denver. No team has ever come back from 0-3.
Golden State leads series 3-1.
Golden State won series 4-1.
Minnesota > Memphis. Series tied 2-2.
Grrr, Minnesota led most of the way, but Grizzlies lead series 3-2.
Toronto > Philadelphia (leads series 3-0). Ut-oh, but I don't hate Philadelphia.
76ers lead series 3-2, whew.
Brooklyn > Boston (leads series 3-0). Ut-oh.
Swept, ugh.
Chicago > Milwaukee (leads series 2-1), but I don't hate Milwaukee.
Milwaukee leads series 3-1. Ut-oh.

Ex-Globetrotters star Meadowlark Lemon dies

RIP. I was a tween or younger when I saw him play, awesome.
My grandmother, who played BB back in the 1930's,
took me to see the Globetrotters at the Syracuse
War Memorial Stadium back around 1969. I can
still remember moments fro that night as if they
happened yesterday. Lemon was a master showman.
They call me Creamy Tawdry.

 "Curly" Neal, too. It was also around that year for me. I saw them just a few years ago - niece and nephew were in a halftime karate demonstration. It was a better Globetrotters experience when I was a kid.

The Wiki link is talking about both NCAA and NBA. Have you got a citation for a difference?

From the link.
In the NBA, WNBA, and competitions operated by Euroleague Basketball, a jump ball occurs at the start of the game (called the opening tip or opening tip-off), the start of any extra period (tip-off), to settle special situations where penalties cancel out and neither team is previously entitled to the ball, and to settle any held balls. Held balls occur when two opposing players both lay equal claim to the ball, and after trying to wrestle it from each other, end up in a stalemate. A jump ball may also be called if there are different calls by two or more referees.

 The next paragraph confused me. I thought it meant only the WNBA.
However, most competitions other than the (W)NBA, and Euroleague Basketball use the alternating possession rule to settle all jump ball situations after the opening tip. This uses a possession arrow on the scorekeeper's table. Whenever such a jump ball situation occurs, possession of the ball is awarded to the team that is moving in the direction of the possession arrow on offense. The arrow then swaps to point to the other team....
Why didn't they just say "NBA, WNBA" like they did in your paragraph? :ateeth:

It's kind of poorly written.

How difficult is it to write WNBA and NBA as opposed to (W)NBA?

Also, I'm pretty sure the proper way to write their lazy stupidity is 'W/NBA', just like 's/he'. I don't believe that '(s)he' is ever done.

The dictionary agrees:
s/he: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dic ... glish/s-he
(s)he: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dic ... =%28s%29he

Thanks, but nah. I'm not 100% confident of the grammar rules involved and am too lazy to fully research them.
