Wow, that’s a crazy small spread after 5-4 Missouri has lost 3 in a row, including to Vandy and KY. I might have picked Missouri, but nope. Your thoughts?
@(16)Notre Dame -9.5 -9 (21)Navy. Sink it back out if the rankings.
Wake Forest +32 +34.5 @(3)Clemson.
@Rutgers +51 +52 (2)Ohio St. Really? Why play?
@Iowa St -6.5 (22)Texas. AP and Vegas disagree.
I mis-posted earlier. I want (22)Texas, now +7 @Iowa St.
@(13)Auburn +2.5 (5)Georgia. Respect for Auburn that the spread is so narrow.
(18)Memphis -9.5 -10.5 @Houston.
(7)Minnesota -3 +3 @(23)Iowa. Disrespect for Minnesota that the spread is so narrow. I misread earlier, total disrespect for Minnesota that Iowa is favored!
(10)Oklahoma -9 -10 @(12)Baylor. Tough one, I THINK it's more likely to keep both out if they both have a loss. Thoughts?
@(6)Oregon -26.5 -27 Arizona

3 4 (miscounted earlier) games between ranked teams, seems to be the usual. 6 5 single digit spreads, also about the norm.
Adding in, go:
(24)Indiana +14.5 @(9)Penn St. Knock it out of the top 10.
The visitors usually win this oldest rivalry in the south. In the past 25, the home team has only won 10.

You mean Auburn - Georgia, right?
15-10 visitors ain't overwhelming.
Do you think the 2.5 point spread should be larger? Vegas has increased it to 3.
Are YOU telling me I should pick Georgia?

Auburn is a sure win. I'm wearing my special Auburn shirt and hat and socks and belt and have flags on my car and my house and my yard. How could we possibly lose.

Ah, you just want us to be even more impressed when the home team wins, got it ;) .

Fwiw, I wasn't going to switch to Georgia barring a massive Vegas wiggle, and maybe not even then. Knock it out of the top 10 and the playoffs! Don't let me down, put a flag on the lawnmower, too, and Auburn vests on dog.pilgrim and Mrs.pilgrim.

My big oddball games with 15 picking differently in each are:

@Mississippi +21 (1)LSU

I'm not sure that dumb timeout call mattered the way GA drove the ball before the half. That QB fumble when Auburn was driving really hurt.

58-37, all of that and it ended in a push, lol. LSU's defense is shaky, but their offense kills it.

I'm 9-5-1, tied for 7th just 2 out of the lead, but out of the money with 4 games left :( . On the bright side, App St is thrashing GA St and will go to 9-1, Boise St is pasting New Mexico early, and Oklahoma has come back from 25 down to tie Baylor.

Edit: After Baylor lost its 1st game, nice, and 9-1 Boise St and 9-1 Oregon dominated - yippie! - beating their spreads by 5 and 1 respectively, I finish 11-8, 4 from the winner, tied for 9th :| . I'm in season 11th, 17 points out of the lead, and certainly out of the money with only 2 full weeks and conference championship week left to go :( . I'll have to get at least a solo weekly 1st and solo 2nd in those 3 weeks to break even  .

Yep, a SEC homer said that.
SEC Network analyst: Clemson and OSU would beat LSU right now.

As for Clemson, the Tigers look like a totally different team in their last six games. They slaughtered Wake Forest 52-3 yesterday at home. The Demon Deacons are widely regarded as the No. 2 team in the ACC this year.

The big story over this period of time is the improved play of Trevor Lawrence. He is starting to look more and more like his 2018 self. In his last six games, Lawrence has thrown 19 touchdowns to just three interceptions with zero of the interceptions coming in the last four games. His numbers look eerily similar to last year’s. His completion percentage is up nearly three percentage points to 68.1 percent and he’s averaging 0.9 more yards per attempt at 9.1.

It’s hard to not walk away with the concern Burns has about LSU’s defense considering what it let Ole Miss do. One could also say that it was its second straight road game, which is perfectly fair. As far as the way Clemson and Ohio State are playing, they may very well have a slight edge over LSU. We should find out in just over a month if this holds true.

Moved from College sports:

AP Rankings as of 11/17/2019

1 LSU (10-0)
2 Ohio State (10-0)
3 Clemson (11-0) Sigh, but no one else is undefeated and Texas A&M (7-3) is #24 now. I'm not as outraged as I was.
4 Georgia (9-1) Ugh.
5 Alabama (9-1) Ugh. May not last without Tua.
6 Oregon (9-1) Cool, I thought it might drop with the Auburn loss. The SEC Championship may open up the space it needs.
7 Utah (9-1) Ugh.
8 Oklahoma (9-1) Ugh.
9 Penn State (9-1) Ugh.
10 Florida (9-2)
11 Minnesota (9-1) Oh well, it was a good run.
12 Michigan (8-2)
13 Baylor (9-1)
14 Wisconsin (8-2)
15 Notre Dame (8-2)
16 Auburn (7-3) Down from #13. Best 3-loss team! :P
17 Cincinnati (9-1)
18 Memphis (9-1)
19 Iowa (7-3)
20 Boise State (9-1) Down from #19 after a dominating win? Ah, got bumped by MN-beating Iowa. I guess that's defensible.
21 SMU (9-1)
22 Oklahoma State (7-3)
23 Appalachian State (9-1) Woohoo, top 25!
24 Texas A&M (7-3)
25 Virginia Tech (7-3) 11/29 vs Virginia, possibly for the right to embarrass Clemson in the ACC Championship.

Not to kick a team when it's down, but please kick Bama when it's down on 11/30. The routes I see for OR to get into the playoffs include:

An OH St loss, very possible with #9 Penn State, #15 Michigan and maybe the Big 10 Championship upcoming. Of course, Penn State could leapfrog OR  . Plus, it's not certain that OH St would drop below OR with a loss. The Big 10 has several ways that it can place a team in the top 4.
A Clemson loss, possible in the ACC Championship, but not likely.
@Auburn > Bama + LSU > GA. Other SEC scenarios may create space for the Ducks, but this seems to be the best one.

OR also needs to win out convincingly and not get leapfrogged by Oklahoma or other Big 12 or Big 10 team. It's a good thing Utah has done so well. Beating it in the Pac 12 Championship will boost OR's resume.

Alabama & Clemson have been synonymous with the CFP
Trevor Lawrence offered support to Tua Tagovailoa after injury

On Monday, Lawrence revealed that he reached out to Tagovailoa and offered him support via text message. Clemson’s star quarterback hated to see such a talented player and competitive opponent lose the rest of his season to an injury. If there is anything Lawrence can take from Tagovailoa's injury, it's that he should cherish every play because an injury like that can happen to any player at any time.
"I just hate it for him,” Lawrence said. “He's a really good guy. I know the competitor he is and it just sucks not being able to finish the year. I think the biggest thing from it is to just enjoy every moment because you never know what's going to happen."

One of the biggest discussions surrounding Tagovailoa’s injury was whether he should’ve been in the game at all. Some blamed Nick Saban for leaving his quarterback in a game in which the Crimson Tide were up big. According to Saban, the coaching staff thought about throwing back-up quarterback Mac Jones into the game, but Tagovailoa wanted one more series. Lawrence was asked about that, and he said that he would always want to go back into the game if it were up to him."It depends, if I'm ever asked what I want to do, it's like yeah let's go another series,” Lawrence said. “So sometimes they'll say that, but usually it's you want to go one more?' Or, it's OK you're done. If they say you're done, then I'm not asking to go back in. It just depends. I'm sure it was similar with Tua, like do you want to be done or go back in and get one last two-minute drive in? Obviously any competitor wants to go in and play more if they can, so I would have done the same thing."

Despite the playoff rivalry that has emerged between Alabama and Clemson in recent years, it’s clear that the two star quarterbacks have quite a bit of respect for one another off the field.

The Vegas spread is 46.5. The same player picked Samford straight up!
Alabama beat the Vegas spread by 5.5, Auburn also beat the Vegas spread by 5.5. Weird.
I start off 3-2-1, tied for 12th, 2 points out of the lead. 6 players have no losses!

"Only" won by 22. I'll take it - Mountaineers 10-1!!!

I'm 4-3, still tied for 12th, 3 points behind the 7-0 leader.
