Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

‘Purity ball’ video of House Speaker Mike Johnson, daughter uncovered

"The video has disappeared from the internet". :( , but the segment does have video from other purity balls.

What do you want to bet that the daughter gets pregnant before marriage, or announces she’s gay
Supposedly, the purity ball was 8 years ago when Hannah was 13. She just got engaged . . . to a man :) No word on whether she's pregnant, has kid/s, is staying "pure" or is a closeted lesbian. They were "dating for the past few years."

There's another daughter, 21, and 17 and 13 year old sons. You gotta figure that one or more will stray. The boys are both jocks, and the older one is into the "grappling martial arts", nttawwt, along with other sports.

Of course, the Johnson the johnson kids have options and they can learn all about them on YouTube and <ahem> other websites:

Those are freakin funny 😱

A Song About Hand Jobs - Garfunkel and Oates

Lyrics:
The BJ Song
The Loophole
Handjob, Blandjob, I Don’t Understand Job

Ftr,
Kate Micucci ("Oates") is 43, got married in 2018 and "gave birth to their son in January 2020."
Riki Lindhome ("Garfunkel") is 44 and "has a son, who was born in March 2022. As of 2022, her partner was Fred Armisen," which may or may not make him the father.

Maybe they really were both late bloomers ;) Pretty cool that they both guest-starred on The Big Bang Theory, respectively as Raj's semi-girlfriend and Sheldon's stalker.

They effing rock!

Oates was in the news recently for the wrong reason, SINO Johnson's god must have smited her and changed his mind.

Garfunkel and Oates' debut studio album, All Over Your Face, was released in 2011, while their second studio album, Slippery When Moist (2012), topped the Billboard Comedy Albums chart. They released their third studio album, Secretions, in 2015.

Johnson the johnson could, like little Kevin before him, easily cobble together a coalition that would protect his job as well as actually getting stuff done. The fact that he doesn't tells a lot about what a deep hole of Hell the country has jumped into.

There might be some Repubs that the Dems would support, but they will always unanimously vote for Jeffries over SINO Johnson the johnson. So, anytime a tiny handful of RepuQs want him gone, he is gone. His coalition is as flimsy and durable as tissue paper.

Yes, but the first vote is just to vacate. If some dems vote to keep him, he's (temporarily) safe.

The Dem vote against more moderate, less MAGA and less xtian wingnutty McCarthy was unanimous. Why would any Dems ever vote to keep SINO Johnson the johnson when it's likely, or at least possible, that they'd end up with a less RW compromise?

Somebody (and it might have been me, and others) said it was a bad decision to help oust McCarthy, despite his being a lying sleazebag, largely because the replacement wasn't likely to be better. Some might say at this point "I told you so." So they got Johnson the johnson, who is worse, but booting him still isn't going to get anybody better. Seems votes to keep him would be valuable, and not cheap, but still in everybody's best interest.

We disagree. All it will take is the smallest handful of semi-sane Repubs along with the Dems to improve on SINO Johnson the johnson. Anyhow, it's all moot unless a few semi-sane Repubs grow spines or the insane RepuQs throw a new temper tantrum. I don't have any reason to believe either will happen soon. Gaetz and Co. have to know that SINO Johnson the johnson is as wingnutty as they'll ever get.

Anyhow, According to MSNBC SOME Dems are making noises about protecting SINO Johnson the johnson from the EmptyGs IF he's flexible on the Ukraine/Israel/border funding measure.

 I've long opposed military aid for Israel, even more so with the current ethnic cleansing, don't like GQP border solutions and think Johnson is slime. So, it comes down to whether immediate Ukraine aid is worth it -0-? These types of compromises are why I became a gadfly rather than a pol. For awhile I was on track towards the latter.

... The House vote was 214-216. Three Republicans, Colorado Rep. Ken Buck, Wisconsin Rep. Mike Gallagher and California Rep. Tom McClintock, joined the Democrats in voting against the resolution. GOP Rep. Blake Moore joined the “no” side to allow the House GOP to bring up the vote again.

Even though House Republicans suffered a massive defeat and failed to impeach Mayorkas on Tuesday, GOP leadership said they plan to bring up the vote again.

“House Republicans fully intend to bring Articles of Impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas back to the floor when we have the votes for passage,” Speaker Mike Johnson spokesman Raj Shah posted on X.
It sucks that there are 214 America-hating assholes. I had hoped for more defections from this stupidity.
... Given the narrow margins in the House, Republicans could only afford to lose a handful votes. A surprise move by Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas to return from surgery to vote changed the margins at the eleventh hour to make it impossible for Republicans to garner enough support.

Green was wheeled onto the House floor at the last minute with no shoes to vote against impeaching Mayorkas, a shocking loss for Republicans, sources told CNN.

Even Republicans acknowledged that Democrats waiting to reveal Green’s presence was well played.

“I like a good game,” GOP Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona told CNN. “They played a good game. I don’t like that we lost.”

Green’s return may have caught Republicans by surprise – but Democratic leaders said they were ready for it.

“It was not a surprise,” House Minority Whip Katherine Clark told CNN of Green’s return.

Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi said of Al Green’s return, “He had been out, but he saw the importance of coming and he did.” ...
