My arm's length view of Mace was that she was reasonably decent as Repugs go, so I looked up her record. Generally, although like any politician she's gone along with the party, she has taken positions on numerous issues that might be comparable to a conservative-leaning Dem. Interestingly, she was the first woman to graduate from Citidel, so you can believe she's no shrinking violet. And then she goes and makes up shit just like any Republican, opposing DC statehood not for the honest reason that it would add two Dem senators and a Dem rep, but because " D.C. was too small to qualify as a state, saying, "D.C. wouldn't even qualify as a singular congressional district." Nevermind it has a couple thousand more people than Wyoming, more than Vermont, and about the same as North Dakota and South Dakota.

Vaccines used to be derived from horse or cow serum and these would indeed cause allergic reactions to the foreign proteins in some recipients. A few tragically died. Even without allergic reactions, the foreign proteins were irritants. I'm unaware of permanent meat allergies being triggered, but it's not out of the question.
Anyhow, all or almost all vaccines are now made using genetically altered bacteria - no mammalian proteins to react to. Tetanus vaccines, for example, hurt a lot less than they used to. AJ is FoS, as usual.

... The company disputed the claims. Kellogg’s told Reuters in a statement that it was committed to complying with employment laws and has policies to prohibit workplace discrimination.
“At Kellogg, our aspiration is to better reflect the diversity of our consumers and to strengthen our inclusive culture,” the statement read.
America First Legal, in another letter sent to Kellogg’s CEO Steve Cahillane, claimed company management “has hijacked the brand to advance an extreme political and social agenda.”
