President* Trump

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Above is a list of programs on the chopping block. One of which a few of my close family members rely upon. Many in my family are also die hard red hats.

Meals on wheels is supposedly poised for elimination, too.

Peace out. You reap what you sow.
I've just about reached the point where I say, "Fuck it." Let them shut down all the shit he/they said he/they would. Let all the red state fucktards who voted for him anyway bleed from the eyes by the time it's over. It will impact a shitload of old people and children but, since it seems unavoidable, we might as well roll with the punch and let it happen, let the dumbshits suffer their own folly. Let them rely on their churches and local charities to "fill the gap" (also know as shitting in one hand and wishing in the other and noting which one gets filled first). Let the stupidass whitetrash really come to grips with the fact that it ain't just "niggers and messicans" benefitting from these programs. Let the rednecks try and fish in waterways full of fly ash and bottom ash that Duke Fucking Energy dumped legally. Let them deal with well water full of lead and mercury and phosphorus and god-knows-what-else. Maybe that will provide the intellectual nudge needed to get them to understand the concept of voting against everyone's best interest, and being careful what you wish for. If that doesn't work, well, we're all fucked, anyway.
No way, not gonna happen. Most of us don't live in reality anymore. Constant bombardment from the media, then social media, then you've got the same coming from friends and acquaintances who are also being bombarded by the same stuff leads to a feedback loop that there's no escaping from.

I don't recall things being quite like this even during the Bush years. But it seems like social media is largely to blame.

Many American men are super insecure about their masculinity. Anything remotely considered "liberal" is an affront to that, according to them. It's associated with being effeminate and weak. Of course, this isn't always the case, but I think it's fairly common. This is the conclusion I've reached from observing people I know personally.

Stephen Colbert hilariously spoofs Rachel Maddow's Trump tax-form tease

It all started on Tuesday evening when MSNBC host Rachel Maddow tweeted that on her show that night she would be revealing President Donald Trump's tax returns.

But before unveiling that she had two pages of Trump's 2005 federal tax return, she opened her show with a lengthy tease that went on for over 10 minutes. Leading to people on Twitter losing their minds during the dragged-out setup....

Yeah. The rural, unwashed, tiny pecker crowd. They're the ones who need so goddam many surrogate penises: guns, 4WD pickemup trucks, guns, camouflage clothing year-round, guns, loud & smoky exhausts, guns, wallets on chains, guns, chainsaws, guns, ATVs, guns, loud-ass stereos, guns . . . .

The Telegraph: US makes formal apology to Britain after White House accuses GCHQ of wiretapping Trump Tower
General McMaster contacted Sir Mark Lyall Grant, the Prime Minister's National Security adviser, to apologise for the comments. Mr Spicer conveyed his apology through Sir Kim Darroch, Britain's US ambassador.
UPI: White House apologizes for saying Britain involved in spying on Trump
The White House apologized for suggesting a British intelligence agency was involved in spying on President Donald Trump during his presidential campaign, a U.S. official said Friday.
The official said national security adviser H.R. McMaster spoke with his British counterpart after a comment by press secretary Sean Spicer during a press briefing Thursday.
I think we'll see more of this: Trump's designated liars telling their citizens one thing and the rest of the world another. It works for North Korea.

During the luncheon, Trump read what he said was an Irish proverb.

“As we stand together with our Irish friends, I’m reminded of an Irish proverb — and this is a good one, this is one I like, I’ve heard it for many, many years and I love it,” he said. “Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue, but never forget to remember those that have stuck by you.”

Many tweeters instantly pointed out that the words actually came from a poem by Nigerian poet Albashir Adam Alhassan.

Trump reads poem written by Muslim Nigerian poet Albasheer Adam Alhassan, & ignorantly calls it "an Irish proverb." http://www.avclub.com/article/donald-tr ... n-p-252250

And at the same luncheon, Ryan makes a "golf" and "royalty" joke - apparently not knowing or forgetting that golf has a Scottish origin and the Irish aren't very fond of "royalty."
Idiots.
