Re: Congress to Investigate Benghazi 'Talking Points
For all I know, Gennifer was way better than "okay" in her day. I'm just saying it would be very unusual for a philanderer to go chasing after a 60-year old former fling publicity seeker when there are many better options. Probably wouldn't have to leave the house.

What-everr. She's now saying that she was the one who got him elected because she made his name a "household word" and nobody had ever heard of him before then. In my view, she had a nice fling back in the day, got her "15 minutes," hadn't done anything particularly noteworthy since except get somebody to put a mike in front of her every time she says "Bill Clinton." The world seems to have moved along without her.

Ah Vred. Surely you can see that O'R is convinced that Slick can do no wrong and Ms Flowers is making it all up.
Much like it was the cigar's fault or was it Monica.
By the way Vred, did you see who is trying to replace JJ Jr.? The election of Marion Barry, post prison time, comes to mind.

I didn't say she was making it up, although I think the part about her thinking she got him elected is a bit of an exaggeration. I'm just saying she's yesterday's entertainment. If she wants to be today's entertainment, she needs to do something today, not some "Bill called me in 2005" story - true or not.Reality wrote:Ah Vred. I can't remember all the working parts of Krauthammer's theory, but it was quite a lulu.
He must be spitting bullets looking at another four years of Obama. I guess all those
anti-Obama columns over the last four years were all in vain. What a damn shame.
Considering the going nowhere fast Benghazi talking points theme, I'd bring up Flowers and
Clinton too.

Vred, are you sure you are not the copy editor for National Inquirer? That publication is notorious for fringe editing like you are.
So, do you think Slick wanted to see Ms Flowers to talk about old times or was he hoping for a quick roll in the hay. Wearing a hoodie is a nice touch don't you think?

I must be wrong about her not having done much since back in the day. According to her own website,
"Gennifer Flowers also continues to be an inspiration and role model to women and men alike. Her highly motivational speeches are in demand from groups all over the world."

"Earlier in the interview, Flowers claimed that her now-famous press conference had finally given Clinton the name recognition that he'd told her he needed in order to be a contender in 1992."

John McCain's first and only pick for VP was Sarah Palin. Where the #*&$ does he get off commenting on anyone else's choice for anything.

Well, I read post from Vred and Dingle so what they say must be true? If you don't believe me, ask them?

There's no sign at all that Susan Rice lied; we now know that she merely repeated what the intelligence community told her.Stinger wrote:John McCain's first and only pick for VP was Sarah Palin. Where the #*&$ does he get off commenting on anyone else's choice for anything.
This is the same John McCain who jumped to Condoleezza Rice's defence when SHE was wrong - even though in that case, Condoleezza Rice had been given accurate information by the intelligence community and she chose to lie instead.

John McCain died sometime after 2004. I don't know who this loon is that's going around wearing a McCain mask and claiming to be him. Been doing it since 2008, at least.

Re: Congress to Investigate Benghazi 'Talking Points
I know of plenty of **Democrats** who said they were considering voting for McCain in 2000.O Really wrote:John McCain died sometime after 2004. I don't know who this loon is that's going around wearing a McCain mask and claiming to be him. Been doing it since 2008, at least.
But being his own man made him a threat to the Republican leadership. Anyone running for office as a Republican was given what was essentially a loyalty oath, stipulating that they would support George W. Bush in the forthcoming primaries exclusively, and not McCain, and if they didn't agree, the Party would withhold its financing from their election bid.
And so the polls liked McCain, but he never had a chance in the 2000 primaries. He stopped being his own man after the 2000 election.
Fast-forward to 2008. McCain had learned his lesson and had towed the party line for several years. Anything that came out of Bush & Cheney's mouths, no matter how stupid, he publicly agreed with. And so the Republican leadership backed him.
He never went back to being his own man. He continues to spread any Republican BS they tell him to, no matter how stupid.

No, he'll never man up and do anything like that. Mewling and playing the victim card is his style, 24/7/365.Vrede wrote:Find an alleged fact I've posted that is not true - not counting opinion or immediate correction of error. McCain should have known the types of dogs he was lying with in 2000 when it was his fellow Republicans who started the story about his secret black daughter. If he had jumped parties then, he probably could have gotten elected as a Dem.

That "kiss and make up" thing with Bush was really weird.O Really wrote:McCain should have known the types of dogs he was lying with in 2000 when it was his fellow Republicans who started the story about his secret black daughter. I understand McCain's still pissed about 2008, and Graham's up for reelection in 2014, but I can't figure out why Collins is in on this? Maybe she's worried about 2014.
And the party of confirming Condoleezza Rice -- she of the bad intel that led to a trumped up war -- as Secretary of State has problems confirming Susan Rice as Secretary of State because she went with the intel she was given.
Back in the 2008 campaign, Susan Rice made derogatory comments about McCain strolling around the market in Baghdad in a "flack jacket." Word on the street is that this is really why McCain's so pissed at her.
Sounds just like him.

You give Condoleezza Rice too much credit. She had good intel, but it didn't suit the administration's needs. So she told the country something else.Stinger wrote:And the party of confirming Condoleezza Rice -- she of the bad intel that led to a trumped up war
