Fortunately, ESPN does endless reruns even when there is real sports to show. I caught Episodes 1 & 2. Pretty good, thanks, but I'd like to see more about the other players besides MJ and Pippen, especially Rodman. When others would check the papers for MJ's points, I would look for DR's rebounds. Maybe in the later episodes.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 12:28 amOutstanding.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 6:38 pmThanks. Not positive that I'll watch, but I've been skipping over the sports listings and didn't even notice it. Here, Episodes 1 & 2 are on at 9 & 10 and 12 & 1 ET.
The Last Dance (2020 TV series)
That said, ESPN's 30 for 30 did an excellent show last Sept, Rodman: For Better or Worse, and has been showing reruns.

Re: What are you watching?
My pops basically died because of our shit healthcare system. Long story short he has some health issues but had no health insurance and was poor, so he self treated his symptoms and never got it checked out. It eventually got really bad so he went to the emergency room (NJ has charity care, or something like that for poor folks when they go to the emergency room. Don't know the exact details to be honest...) and found out he had lung cancer which spread throughout his body. He was able to get on Medicaid and started treatment but died a few months after that. Luckily NJ's Medicaid helps with cremation (the only state to do so we were told) so he got cremated and we paid for a funeral for him.

Re: What are you watching?
Agreed. IMO part of the improvement is that they worried less about the "Live" part and more about making good TV with special effects and other tech tricks. Plus, Weekend Update was still awkward, but the jokes were funny and they got rid of that awful laugh track/weird audience.
Dr. Anthony Fauci Cold Open - SNL
Not the world's best impression, but still an inspired choice to portray him. Funny, too.
This was a pleasant surprise - both the singer and an excellent song choice for these STFIYH times:Vrede too wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 10:46 amDr. Anthony Fauci is named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive".

Does that help with reception or is it because he loved TV?

NBC brought out a second “SNL at Home” episode this week, and the show kicked off with another big celebrity cameo in the form of Brad Pitt delivering a solo sketch as America’s favorite disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
It was a nice bit of casting, as Fauci had joked this week that he’d like Brad Pitt to play him when a reporter asked him on CNN who he’d like to have portray him on “SNL.”

Ah, that explains it. My connection was more obscure, though kinda on the same theme. Good on Pitt for playing along.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 11:34 amAnd Fauci got his wish!

Miley Cyrus: Wish You Were Here (At Home) - SNL
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/mil ... 03038.html
... The singer performed a cover of Pink Floyd’s classic “Wish You Were Here” while seated fireside and accompanied by Andrew Watt, a noted guitarist, songwriter and all-around hitmaker, who recently recovered from coronavirus and spoke of the frightening experience on social media. The musician now carries antibodies which may have some impact on reacquiring the virus and is donating his blood to further research the makeup of COVID-19....
