Cawthorn

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

A little, tbh. He and his wife have that whole 'covenant marriage' thing going on, and I suspect they live it. Spousal abuse I could believe, though.

Shouldn't that be "rolling" in the GOP primary?
And shouldn't any GOP primary that lets him in be referred to as the biannual barrel-bottom scraping?

I hope MadCaw wins. Now that EmptyG and Bozobert have flipped somewhat sane we need to ID a new torchbearer (sly Olympics reference  ) for the GQP.

I understand the point, and sorta agree. But I'm not sure anybody ever considered EmptyG and them to be anything other than the lunatic fringe. That's the problem with trying to "vote 'em all out" - they're not a homogenous group and people can only vote for their own village idiot, leaving 434 others to be separately voted on by other villagers. If you don't live in EmptyG's district, for example, it's pretty easy to say "all those other congresscritters are lunatics, but my guy is pretty decent." Or, if you do live in the district with an EmptyG, you may think she's just fine.

And term limits don't help, either. The turnover would keep a bunch of rookie amateurs in there, repeatedly making the same rookie amateur mistakes over and over.

The real problem is, we've got too many of our villages (districts) filled with too many idiots voting against their own interests.

"rolling" - ouch

Your old district. This is the seat held by Republican Byron Donalds, who is retiring to run for governor. So, wingnuttery can win there.

At least 9 people running/rolling so far. MadCaw has already been endorsed by US Sen Markwayne Mullin, Oklahoma. Idk how it works for pluralities in FL but if he can fire up the fundies again he may have a shot. Might be tough, though. Fundie Bozobert has endorsed one of his opponents. MadCaw has already raised half a million dollars  , which puts him in third for fundraising.

"US Sen Markwayne Mullin"
Wonder if the voters in OK know how many serial killers, murderers, and other criminals have "Wayne" as a combined part of their name. And if the other name is "John", they seem to be more notorious, such as John Wayne Gacy or John Wayne Bobbit.

It would be really interesting to see who the fools are that actually gave money to him. Unqualified one-term congresscritter with a record of ...um, nothing, now a carpet-bagger, known miscreant and liar. And somebody wants to send him back?

You left out serial traffic offender and serial attempts of trying to take a gun onto a plane. In the traffic stuff it was daddy's car. Not sure if it was daddy's gun at the airport.
