I'm an asshole if I'm picking on a disabled person, but I call bullshit on this bitch.

Does her past "social influencing" promote vaccine or has she been against vaccines?

Pretty hard to tell anything from such a short reddit clip. I found her website:
https://queencitydom.com/
Her Vlog:
https://queencitydom.com/my-vlog
I watched the short one, didn't learn anything.
Her "COVID 19 Resources":
https://queencitydom.com/covid-19-resources
Interesting that most of the posts are about the neuro effects of CV-19. The only post there about the vaccine is a news conference held by uber-wingnut Sen. Ron Johnson, the johnson. Maybe this is from infection, not the shot?
Her Blog posts:
https://queencitydom.com/my-story
https://queencitydom.com/my-blog
WTF is this?

Image

Everything is vague - no medically specific descriptions of her symptoms, no statements about test results or even what tests besides a take-home EEG have been performed. Her MDs are apparently not calling it a vaccine side effect, but she's leaped to that conclusion. Could all be BS, could be psychosomatic, could be unrelated to the vaccine, could even be an extremely rare vaccine side effect, idk.

I didn't see her real full name. That would make it easier to learn her pre-vaccine background.

More than 240 University of Virginia Students have been disenrolled because they didn't get COVID-19 vaccines

Workers who aren't vaccinated for COVID-19 should be prepared to pay more for health coverage

 Alternatively, cancel the insurance.
Poll: More unvaccinated Americans blame vaccinated Americans for the Delta surge than blame themselves

... The survey of 1,649 U.S. adults, which was conducted from Aug. 16 to 18, found that just 6 percent of those who remain unvaccinated say they are the ones who deserve “the most blame for the new surge of COVID cases in the U.S.” The share who say vaccinated Americans deserve the most blame is slightly higher (7 percent).

Likewise, when asked “how much” blame each group deserves, just 9 percent of unvaccinated Americans say they themselves deserve a “great deal of blame.” Nearly twice as many (15 percent) say vaccinated Americans deserve a great deal of blame.

Image

... Indeed, unvaccinated Americans tend to blame everyone but themselves for the Delta wave, with a full third saying the Biden administration (34 percent) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “and other public-health authorities” (33 percent) deserve a “great deal of blame” — nearly four times the share who say the same about themselves (again, 9 percent). Fewer (24 percent) place a great deal of blame on “Americans who refuse to wear masks and take other precautions.”

In stark contrast, nearly three-quarters of vaccinated Americans (71 percent) say unvaccinated Americans deserve a great deal of blame for Delta’s surge. Similar numbers say the same about Americans who refuse to wear masks and take other precautions (68 percent) and people who spread misinformation online and on TV (70 percent). But when asked to choose who deserves the “most blame,” the share of vaccinated Americans who say unvaccinated Americans (43 percent) dwarfs the share who say anti-maskers (26 percent) or misinformation peddlers (17 percent).

The widening divide between vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans couldn’t come at a more perilous moment, as the average number of new daily cases soars to more than 140,000 nationwide, new daily deaths top 1,000 for the first time since March and hot spots such as Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi set new hospitalization records nearly every day....

Yet even here, polarization is undermining progress. In mid-July, both vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans reported regularly wearing masks at exactly the same rate (43 percent). But since then, mask wearing by the vaccinated has increased by 22 points (to 65 percent) while mask wearing by the unvaccinated has actually fallen (to 39 percent).

In other words, the people who need the most protection from catching and spreading the virus are, paradoxically, masking up even less often now than they were before Delta took off. Instead, it’s the least vulnerable Americans — those who are vaccinated — who have been responsible for all of the recent uptick in regular masking....

What makes these findings particularly jarring is that unvaccinated Americans are more likely than vaccinated Americans to have experienced the ravages of Delta firsthand. A full 29 percent of Americans say that over the last month, either they, a family member or a close friend was infected with COVID-19, up from 23 percent two weeks ago; 14 percent say that either they, a family member or a close friend was hospitalized due to COVID-19, up from 11 percent; and 11 percent say that a family member or a close friend died due to COVID-19, up from 9 percent.

Yet across the board, it’s unvaccinated Americans who have been more exposed to such fallout, with 39 percent saying that over the last month, they or someone they know well has been infected; 20 percent saying that either they or someone they know well has been hospitalized; and 15 percent saying that someone they know well has died. For vaccinated Americans, those numbers are significantly lower: 29 percent, 12 percent and 9 percent, respectively.

Regardless, just as in the last two Yahoo News/YouGov polls, more unvaccinated Americans continue to say that the COVID-19 vaccines (38 percent) pose a greater risk to their health than the virus (30 percent) — and about half (49 percent) continue to say they will “never” get vaccinated.

Another 25 percent say they are still “waiting to see what happens to others before deciding.”
 COVIDiots.
Fox host compares unvaccinated New Yorkers who can’t go to bars to Americans stuck in Afghanistan

Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade has been ridiculed for claiming unvaccinated New Yorkers were being forced to “shelter in place” like Americans stranded in Afghanistan.

Kilmeade, who has consistently pushed anti-vaxx messaging on the Fox breakfast show, took aim at New York City’s new indoor vaccine mandate which came into effect on Tuesday.

“Guess what they’re doing in this terribly run city,” Kilmeade said Wednesday morning.

“They are deciding you can’t go to plays, you can’t go to movies, you can’t go to bars, you can’t go to restaurants, you can’t go to gyms, you can’t go to anything unless you have your vaccination card. Which takes a dollar to make a knockoff card.

“What if you have the antibodies, and what if you can’t get the vaccination? You have to shelter in place now, like an American in Afghanistan?”

Kilmeade was accused of being “insanely irresponsible” for promoting fake vaccination cards.

Moments earlier, his Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt had pushed “vaccine misinformation” by claiming that taking Regeneron after becoming infected with Covid-19 is “basically still getting vaccinated”.

... In New York, residents now have to show proof of vaccination to enter bars, restaurants, movie theatres and museums in an effort to reduce the spread of the Delta variant.

The programme, dubbed the Key to NYC, will be phased in over the next month, with fines for businesses that fail to enforce them beginning from September 13.
If that doesn't work, lock them up!

Your homey:
GOP Leader Who Fought Against Vaccine Dies After Weeks-Long Battle With Coronavirus

Pressley Stutts, a local Republican leader in South Carolina who fought COVID-19 vaccination efforts, died on Thursday of the coronavirus after a weeks-long battle, including six days spent on a ventilator, The Greenville News reported.

Stutts, a 64-year-old veteran, frequently shared conspiracy theories about the virus, the vaccine and the 2020 election on Facebook, including in posts made from his ICU bed.

Image
He looks a bit worse now.
Stutts served as an executive committeeman of the Greenville County Republican Party and the leader of the Greenville Tea Party. He protested Vice President Kamala Harris when she visited the area in June to promote vaccination and called the effort an “ungodly initiative.”
Opps, looks like someone did not like the usurpation.
Stutts also praised a state effort to strip funding from schools that imposed mask mandates or testing requirements, and was angry about $10 gift card incentives for vaccination, writing to his 5,000 followers: “Do not sell your body nor your soul no matter the asking price.”

In July, Stutts shared a Facebook post dismissing the delta variant, which was likely the one that ended his life weeks later.

On Aug. 1 ― the day he went into the ICU ― Stutts insisted he had “always contended that COVID was very real” and called it “a deadly bio-weapon perpetrated upon the people of the world by enemies foreign, and perhaps domestic.”
However, he also posted conspiracytheories about the virus online. Last year, he dismissed masks as an “illusion,” claimed in December that there had been no increase in deaths in 2020, and said, “the American public has been gaslighted by the medical industrial complex.”
He died from gaslight?
A research letter published in April calculated 522,368 excess deaths in 2020, an increase of 22.9 percent over 2019. Earlier this year, the CDC estimated there were 545,600 to 660,200 excess deaths from January 26, 2020 through February 27, 2021.
Add one, good riddance.

I just read about how Lt Governor Dan Patrick (TX) last night on Faux News stated that the rise in TX covid cases is mostly due to un vaccinated blacks and that ".....last time I checked they vote Democrat 90% of the time." After I took a few deep breaths and sat for a minute or so at the good right arm of Mr Natural I sent him an email at his official site expressing my sincere desire "that you die from covid but before you do you lie there and reflect on your fascism and stupidity." I also made a comment relating to what I hope happens to his wife and daughters after he dies. I don't even know if he has daughters. I hope so.

An assistant principal at Houston High School in Germantown, TN posted on social media "Do you know the difference between mask mandates and being forced to wear a yellow star? 92 years." Or something like that. Then another teacher there "liked" her post. They are both being considered for termination. This morning I sent both of them an email that both of them are guaranteed not to appreciate. I plan to call there Monday (901) 756 2370 and ask if I can speak to either Janna Matykiewicz (the asst principal) or Tony Benzing. Anyone else may contact them as well. Just put a period between the first and last names and send to gmsdk12.org and tell them how fucking stupid they are.

Texas GOP Official Mocked COVID Five Days Before He Died of Virus

A GOP official from Texas who regularly espoused anti-vaccine and anti-mask views online has died from COVID-19, five days after posting a meme on Facebook questioning the wisdom of getting inoculated against COVID.

Dickinson City Council member and State Republican Executive Committee member H. Scott Apley, 45, died in a local hospital around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help Apley’s family with expenses. He was admitted to the facility in Galveston on Sunday with “pneumonia-like symptoms,” and was hooked up to a ventilator as his condition worsened. His wife was also infected, the family said.

“He leaves behind his wife, Melissa, who is COVID positive, as well as their infant son Reid,” according to the fundraiser, which has so far raised almost $15,000 of its $30,000 goal. “Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help the family as they get through this difficult period.”
If Melissa is also an anti-vaxxer RepuQ let her paddle her own canoe. Personal responsibility, right?
“My heart is beyond broken for his family,” Dickinson Mayor Sean Skipworth wrote in a Facebook post. “Scott was a new father and that makes this loss especially tragic.”
He was a bad bad father.
Texas Republican Party Chairman Matt Rinaldi said in a statement, “Please join me in lifting the Apley family up in prayer. We will miss Scott deeply but find comfort knowing he is at peace in the arms of our Savior.” The announcement did not mention the fact that Apley’s death was COVID-related.
Coward, typical RepuQ.
Apley is a staunch conservative and devout Christian. But based on his social media activity, Apley didn’t believe COVID was going to affect him or his family.
Your "Savior" sent you science, asshole.
In May, Apley posted an invitation for a “mask burning” being held at a bar in Cincinnati, commenting, “I wish I lived in the area!” A couple of weeks earlier, he posted a news article about giveaways and incentives meant to encourage people to get vaccinated, writing, “Disgusting.” Apley also railed against so-called vaccine passports, which restrict high-risk activities, such as indoor dining, to the fully vaccinated. Recently, he suggested that mask mandates in Germany were akin to Nazism....

... Apley’s untimely passing comes as COVID skeptics across the country have died or become extraordinarily sick after rejecting the constant calls by public health officials to get vaccinated and mask up. In Nashville, a right-wing radio host who repeatedly spread misinformation about the virus and mocked the vaccine, is now hospitalized as he fights for his life. A Brooklyn woman who called COVID a “fraud” died after rejecting the vaccine in favor of natural supplements like zinc and Vitamin D.

The family of a Florida woman who refused the COVID vaccine and died in June still refuses to get the jab. A Florida track coach who had resisted calls by friends and colleagues to get vaccinated finally agreed to make an appointment for his shots. However, he contracted COVID a day or two before getting his first dose and died in the hospital after slipping into a coma, leaving behind a wife and four children.
Vaccinations are increasing. Factors may include:

Can't deny the Delta crisis;
Private and public mandates;
People seeing friends and family sicken or die;
Some Repug leaders and right-wing media changing their tune.

I wonder if these stories of vicious karma - stupidity fixed  - are also having an impact.

MAGA Rep Who Boasted About Defying Pelosi’s Mask Rule Gets COVID—but Still Won’t Mask Up

Contracting COVID-19 isn’t stopping U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL) from protesting mask mandates, even as his home state has run out of ICU beds in the latest pandemic wave.

“I just don’t believe in mandates from the federal government,” Moore told The Daily Beast from his farm in Enterprise, Alabama on Saturday. “If I died of COVID yesterday, I wouldn’t want to force my beliefs and opinions on anyone.”
Ummm, you would be dead. Anyhow, fingers crossed.
Moore, an outspoken critic of mask mandates in the U.S. Capitol, announced Friday night that he and his wife had both contracted COVID-19. He said Saturday morning that he had experienced a fever, sore throat, and exhaustion, and was recovering at home....

Slightly off topic, but are all our Tennessee forum members safe from the flooding in the middle of the state?

At Least 8 Killed And Dozens Missing In Tennessee Flooding
WAVERLY, Tenn. — Catastrophic flooding in Middle Tennessee left at least eight dead and dozens missing Saturday as rains washed away homes and rural roads, authorities said. Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis told news outlets more than 30 people have been reported missing.

Two of the bodies recovered were toddlers who had been swept away from their father, Davis told WSMV-TV. The county, which is about 60 miles (96 kilometers) west of Nashville, saw more than 15 inches (38 centimeters) of rain, according to The Tennessean, prompting water rescues, road closures, and communications disruptions.

National Weather Service meteorologist Krissy Hurley told the newspaper the area had received "about 20-25% of the yearly rainfall total that this area sees in a year" in a single morning.

Cities in Humphreys County like Waverly and McEwen were facing a "dire, catastrophic situation," she said. "People are trapped in their homes and have no way to get out."

I don't know where the idea of taking Ivermectin for covid came from - I'm guessing somebody started advocating it on OAN or somewhere, probably as a joke that they didn't think anybody would be stupid enough to believe. But Ivermectin is a wormer. It's always been a wormer. It has no other purpose as far as I know, and after they've been wormed with it, horses often don't feel all that good. I can't imagine the effect of a horse-dose on a human. It's also used for dogs, mostly for heartworms, but a much smaller dose than horses. But hey, if somebody is stupid enough not to get a real free vaccine and to to pay $10 for a tube of horse wormer, hell go for it. More culling the herd.

Yeah, I wouldn't try it.

Here Comes Another Dubious Covid Cure... Ivermectin is the new hydroxychloroquine.
Ivermectin was chosen for clinical testing for legitimate reasons. It’s true, as some detractors have said, that it’s used as a deworming medication for sheep and other farm animals. But it’s also one of the few miracle drugs for humans, having saved hundreds of thousands of people from going blind with onchocerciasis, also known as river blindness, or suffering from the limb-swelling disease elephantiasis. The drug’s discoverers won a Nobel Prize in 2015.

One of the co-inventors, William Campbell, then at Merck & Co., developed a new technique for screening large numbers of compounds to find ones that might kill parasites — eventually leading to a positive signal from a compound isolated from soil bacteria found near a golf course in Japan.

Ivermectin doesn’t kill parasites; it cures parasitic diseases by disrupting the parasites’ reproduction. “In treating parasites, one of the things that makes Ivermectin so wonderful is that it can be given at extremely low doses, so it’s very safe and well tolerated,” Lowe said.

That doesn’t appear to be the case in test-tube studies against viruses. There, the drug looks like it works only at a high enough dose to trigger a mechanism called phospholipidosis a process Lowe compared to killing things with detergent. That prevents viruses getting into cells, but it’s also extremely toxic to people.
Maybe that's where Trump go his "almost like a cleaning" line?
