Re: The Facebook Thread
Much of that cherry picked description could be written about a NASCAR event or Fleet Week.
My last national Rainbow Gathering was my 4th over 11 years in 1992. Even those I mostly attended for just a very few days. Finally decided that if I'm with a bunch of people I want to do more than hang out and that if I'm in the woods I don't want to be with a bunch of people.
Good thing that I don't judge the entire Navy based on my interactions with one or two ignorant, bigoted, gay obsessed (nttawwt), whiny, dishonorable, infantile liars.

There were a few similar images floating around with other artists seeming "predicting" and supporting someone like Trump being elected. I think the image above was created to make fun of people that accept anything and everything without question if it supports what they believe.

Propagators of wingnut memes rely heavily on fake shit like this and the reliable gullibility of their intended targets. They are pretty successful, too.
People are crazy and times are strange. I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range.

Re: The Facebook Thread
And I'll bet John Lennon would have known how to spell "independent."
But to go with the flow...So John, how about hiring a non-musician for your band?
Which reminds me of a story - back in the day, I went to a Paul McCartney concert in Tampa. His later concerts were way better than any original Beatles concert would have been for a lot of reasons, but Linda was still alive back then, singing and playing tambourine in the band. Somebody got a recording of her track and she was definitely not a real singer. On "Hey Jude" she was so far off key and tune you needed to listen to the words to know what she was singing.

We're aware of Fleet Week in your circles. Is that why you chose nursing; because of your expertise with an enema bulb?
Packing fudge does have it's drawbacks I imagine.

They didn't like what you really wanted to do? I don't blame you for shunning crowds, I prefer privacy too.

JTA and bb.pilgrim served in the Navy? Them's some harsh words for who I thought were your buds.
How can someone be bigoted and fag obsessed, you ignorant horses ass?
I'm bigoted against faggots and faggot huggers, I'm hardly obsessed with the filthy trash.

Re: The Facebook Thread
That has crossed my mind, with an eye-roll, mind you. From ancient-code.com, though there are many others.
Among the most notary predictions—that according to many were accurately foreseen by the great Nostradamus—are the French Revolution, Adolf Hitler’s rise to power and 9/11. However, not only did Nostradamus get all of that right, it is believed that the 16th-century prophet even managed to predict Trump’s presidential win: “The great shameless, audacious bawler. He will be elected governor of the army: The boldness of his contention. The bridge broken, the city faint from fear.”
Now, it is believed that when Nostradamus spoke about the Anti-Christ he was referring to the newly appointed, 45th president of the United States: Donald Trump.

Re: The Facebook Thread
Hey,
Grandpa Rossy was gifted second place for being a good guy
. That's part of what made him so beloved in the Cubs clubhouse and the north side.
I've always said that you don't know what type of team you've got until June. We are here and I still don't know. The arms are tired from being extended for two years running, the kids have reverted to the mean of being kids again, they look anxious and jumpy and are not playing stellar defense unlike last year. I also think they miss Dexter Fowler more than they imagined. He was too expensive to re-sign especially when they have more talent coming up. Madden may have pulled another rabbit with Rizzo at leadoff, time will tell. Fortunately they are playing in a crap division this year, I still think they could catch fire in the second half. Just get into the dance and who knows, baseball playoffs are completely unpredictable, the best regular season team rarely wins (excepting last year  ).
It's just hard to repeat, hasn't been done in 18 years and there have been some good teams.
I've been lurking, maybe I'll start posting a little more.
