I confess that it's been ME calling the president prophet of Mormons these past twenty years or so; actually got in touch with him by mistake. Anyway, I've told him to lighten up, get on the good foot, let the people go and get a leg up.....that sort of thing. He never commits.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 8:00 amThey're an odd bunch:

MItt Romney, the former candidate for POTUS, represents uber-Mormon Utah in the US Senate and is probably our most anti-45SHOLE Senator, and Utah Repugs mostly support him for it.

Re: Religion in America
Mormons in the Air Force? God hell! If that's the case, they'll likely go over the top for the new Space Force, which I assume will somehow be related to the Air Force (and possibly IS the Air Force with another name and a lot more money). Or maybe they just like the dark blue uniforms of the Air Force. Or it could be they just don't like marching and camping out.....the Air Force doesn't march around or camp out; same with the Navy. The Army and Marines do that stuff. We always thought it was pointless. Come to think of it, the Air Force Academy looks like a giant church. Guess the Mormons got to them. Or at least got a sweet construction contract in CO.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 7:22 amneoplacebo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:02 amI consider Mormons more like a cult very similar to the trump cult. They are an insular community and tend to associate mostly with those of their own kind. I assume this is a vestige of their ostracism by other whites in the early 19th century when their practice of polygamy was common. All the other religious hypocrites scorned the Mormons and would kick their ass out of town so that they eventually had their asses kicked all the way to Utah. At that point the other religious hypocrites tired of kicking the Mormons' ass or else at that point they had no more ass to kick. But they've been there in Utah ever since covering and nursing their ass in a collective sort of way.Limier than most wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 5:42 amI'd assume that anyone with an ounce of sense woild immediately recognise the Book of Mormon as absurd, but being Mormon in certain places is likely a necessity for social and economic reasons. Is there genuine devotion or just conformity?
You may want to include joining the air force as one of their activities.
There are huge mormon churches around every air force base.
No conspiracy intended - just an observation. Could be that Utah is conducive to wanting to fly, or they are trying to get closer to the god guy.

Their secrecy is worrisome.
And their roots are downright bat-shit loony tune unbelievable.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
