The Food Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Been a long long time, hasn't it? They search your bags and outside food is not allowed.

Please note that we will implement searches upon festival entry. Please arrive early and note the Prohibited Items list, these will be confiscated / surrendered upon entry.

Not Allowed In Venue

NO
Outside Food or Beverage
This is not just Coachella, it's all concerts and festivals. You could MAYBE get away with bags of trail mix in your underwear, but never pizza.

That said, there are lots of food and drink options, though probably all ridiculously expensive.

Only sleazy butthurt assholes alter supposed quotes. If it were up to me this alone would get you banned.

Only Useless is so stupid as to do this to a mod that can change Useless' posts without even bothering to quote.

Here's a fun food story:

You Can Finally Eat Raw Cookie Dough Straight From the Jar
If you’ve ever made cookies, you’ve more than likely experienced the pressing urge to sample the cookie dough raw before popping them in the oven. Of course, almost all cookies are made from dough containing whole eggs, which means eating it raw can lead to foodborne illnesses like salmonella—not worth it! Fortunately, egg-free cookie dough brand, Doughp (pronounced “dope”) is here to serve you a dose of nostalgia with their safe-to-eat raw cookie dough pints and bite-sized cookie dough nuggets.

I had the privilege of postponing my diet (yet again!) to try a variety of Doughp cookie dough’s delicious flavors, including my favorite, Cookie Monster (a blue-hued cookies and cream flavor), Brownie Beast (chocolate brownie and cookie dough flavors), Ride or Die (classic chocolate chip), and Dunk ‘Em In (sprinkle cake flavor with vanilla frosting swirls). Eating Doughp raw from the pint is so much fun because you’re pretending to break the rules, but honestly, this cookie dough is equally as delicious baked. Now, I’m not the only one who’s fallen in love with this guilt-free cookie dough—just check out some of the rave reviews.

...
I can see it now: Don't be a dope, buy Doughp!"

How many times do I have to explain to Pointless (V2) that the ONLY time I read his posts is when some asshole like Sluggo quotes him/her/it?

I block the rest of Pointless's crap. I cannot block what Sluggo quotes of Pointless (V2). Because due to his moderator "priviledges" Sluggo cannot be blocked. By anyone. Yet apparently Pointless keeps on whining and bitching about how he/she/it thinks I'm "cowering" and "obsessed" and "butthurt". All those adjectives apply to Pointless, not me.

Try to comprehend that.

I know it can be difficult for a moron like Pointless. And probably a challenge for Sluggo too.

But it's the truth. Apparently a painful truth for Pointless. And Sluggo just enjoys triggering the all too easily triggered Pointless (V2)...

Sick.

#2 - Ben and Jerry's has been serving raw cookie dough for like a thousand years

By definition, using ignore is cowering. More specifically, you're now cowering from being so ignorant about how all concerts and festivals have been for decades. Grow a pair, pussy.
The whiny signatures on every one of your posts make each of them obsessed and butthurt, duh.
I'm not "triggered" by GoCubsGo, but he would be better able to than you ever could. You're just a "special" child for pitying and mocking, especially when you throw a foot-stomping tantrum like this one.

I remember reading something quite a while ago that said some tuna sell for $60,000 or more. Not a bad day's work.

"At the first bluefin tuna auction of 2019 in Japan, a 612-pound fish sold for a record $3 million."

In the US the same 612 lb tuna would bring about $6,000 for the whole undressed fish.

I can't explain why the radioactive Japanese tuna sell for so much more than Gulf and Atlantic tuna.

 I can't see any way in hell one fish is worth 3 million. No way can enough edible tuna be gleaned from it. I estimate the loss on that fish to the buyer was in excess of 2.75 million.

Beyond Danny Elfman's look, it's a big yes to take Jack Skeleton to any performance.

Plus I never heard of 90% of those "performers".

Why "performers" in quotes as a way to disparage them? Just because you may be culturally ignorant or have different musical taste doesn't make the performers any less talented or less entertaining for others.

Give Useless a break. He's so tragically out of touch with the music scene that he actually thinks it's possible to bring pizza into festivals, and that all hip-hop is "thug music".

So if you go to a festival or some other event, you expect food, parking, t-shirts to all be over-priced. But the Coachella prices did seem ridiculous. On the other hand, everywhere seems to be taking advantage of the "bad inflation...supply chain...no employees...yada" line of excuses to arbitrarily raise prices just because they can. The bratwurst sandwich that would be high-priced at $10 is now $15.
