I jinx myself every time.

Yes, ROUSE for 2/3. You had fewer choices, but I could have gone with DOUSE, HOUSE, MOUSE, SOUSE (obscure), and many non-OUSE words. I thought of WORSE immediately for 3/3 and would have come in at < 1 minute , but I paused to consider if there were better options. GORSE is too obscure, MORSE may not be legit, and HORSE did not occur to me . I probably would have chosen it, phew.
