I'll still waiting for the gutless press to call all of these advisors he is appointing "czars", I'm sure they'll be along soon.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

Apparatchiks.
People are crazy and times are strange. I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range.
I used to care, but, things have changed.
It remains to be seen if the Dems have sufficient spine to oppose things of significance, but from a practical standpoint, they can't fight on every hill Trump creates. Particularly since many of those hills will eventually become molehills as it becomes apparent that just because Trump says it, or "orders" it, doesn't mean it will happen.
When some Dems vote for horrible Cabinet picks it gives a certain amount of political cover to the lockstep Republicans. The link is saying that the big one comes up with the SCOTUS confirmation - just 8 Dems and he or she ( ) is in. So, the petition sends a message that we're watching.
I read a suggestion that Shumer offer a deal - confirm Merrick and they won't oppose Trump's next pick. Refuse and they'll stonewall forever. Problem with that is that the Republicans could "go nuclear" on the SC vote and confirm with a simple majority. But having a Scalia clone doesn't make the Court any worse than it was with a real Scalia - it's that next one that'll kill the rule of law.
"Hold the line against any and all Trump budget cuts that would attack funding for health, education, climate change, civil rights and the poor instead of cutting the true spending problem: our over-inflated military-industrial budget."
This grassroots movement is calling for a national general strike on Feburary 17th, 2017 in defense of our nation’s constitution. Participants pledge to be non-violent. On the day of the strike, we will not go to work (unless absolutely necessary). We will not go to school (unless necessary). We will not spend any money (unless necessary). Instead, we will show dissent with unconstitutional governance through gatherings and activities to be organized at the local/personal level. Some communities are planning a day of service. Instead of work, strikers will dedicate their time to serving neighbors in need. Find your people. Make your plan. Spread the word…
