Spiro Agnew is the GOP nutjob who initially invented the modern tactic of denying guilt by calls to "investigate the investigators", accuse your accusers of the same offense you're being accused of, publicly disparaging by name any law enforcement agency involved in your investigation, and calling the entire thing a "witch hunt." The preceding is just what Agnew did after being found to be extorting bribes as Maryland governor as well as vice president. Elliot Richardson (US Attorney General at the time) would have lowered the boom on his ass but gave him a deal to just resign and not face any prison time just to get him out of the line of succession to the presidency because Nixon was about to be impeached. And if Agnew had become president, the infamous Office of Legal Counsel opinion (the same one recently cited in the Mueller Report)that asserts a sitting president cannot be indicted would have saved Agnew, especially when the statute of limitations is considered.

Yeah, it was those "nattering nabobs of negativism" that got Agnew.

Twenty bucks he wins at least eight Republican primaries in 24. And I'm throwing in the real good possibility that he will be disbarred in GA before that.

Never really knew much about him. I wasn't alone. Empty suit city.

A little more accomplished than Palin and apparently about as smart.

It was a bit of a fluke that he got elected governor. But the Dem candidate was so awful - a crooked racist who actually ran on a slogan of "your home is your castle - protect it" and who had been trying unsuccessfully for years to get elected to something. Agnew was seen at the the time as the lesser of evils. And actually probably was, even knowing what we know now.

This is fun.
People figured out how to smoothly manage call-in shows with minimal disruptions decades ago. Just use delays, cut off pranksters, and never ever give them the satisfaction of whining about their pranks.
It’s like the election fraud hotline all over again.

CNN's Jake Tapper and the White House's Kayleigh McEnany spar after he says she 'lies the way most people breathe'

CNN anchor Jake Tapper said on Sunday that he wouldn't book Trump insiders like White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Jason Miller, the Trump campaign's senior adviser, because there's "no value" in interviewing them.

On CNN's "Reliable Sources," Tapper was asked about the challenges of covering the Trump administration, specifically whether he felt there were "diminishing returns" because he "wasn't getting the truth."

Tapper said that there "were some people who were just so mendacious I just wouldn't put them on air." He specifically named McEnany and Miller as such people.

"These are people that tell lies the way that most people breathe," Tapper told the host, Brian Stelter.

He later added that McEnany "tells lies all the time. She can't acknowledge reality. I'm just not going to put somebody like that on air." ...

How is this guy (Lin Wood) walking around freely?
He's got Jesus Christ/John Reese on his wingnutty team.
Pro-Trump convention featured 'open bloodlust' as attendees cheered calls to execute political foes

Daily Beast reporter Will Sommer over the weekend attended the so-called Health and Freedom Conference in Oklahoma in which Trump supporters lustily cheered calls to execute political opponents.

In the latest edition of the Daily Beast's Fever Dreams podcast, Sommer described the surreal scene of watching actor Jim Caviezel casually talk about global elites harvesting children's adrenal glands so they could maintain their youthful appearances.

Sommer then explains how notorious Trump-loving attorney Lin Wood also went on a crazed rant about elites torturing children to harvest their chemicals, which culminated in a declaration that all of them should be rounded up and put to the firing squad.

Fellow Daily Beast reporter Asawin Suebsaeng asked Sommer what it was like being in the crowd, which he described as an "openly bloodlusty carnival."

"It's pretty crazy," Sommer said. "There's a sense from these people that QAnon is very real and, most importantly, what they've learned from QAnon is real -- and that's adrenochrome, that's the torturing of children."

Sommer says he also heard two attendees claim that the large shipping vessel that was stuck in the Suez Canal was actually filled with children that Hillary Clinton planned to eat.

May 9, 2021 ironic fake news:

A Corn Palace official says there has been 'amazing' demand ahead of a rally by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell

May 11, 2021:

Some Mike Lindell fans reportedly stood in line for 7 hours to watch his rally at the Corn Palace - but when the event started, the venue was half-empty

Image

"30K", "7 hours" :laughing-rolling: :!:
... Lindell announced plans to launch his own social-media site in March after Twitter banned him and billed the site as a "YouTube-Twitter combination."

But it was hit by multiple delays, technical problems, and what Lindell claimed was "the biggest attack ever" before Frank ultimately launched as a one-way channel in April....
I could have told him not to let Solar and taxed do his IT.
