Think carefully there. Supporting civil rights is not "liberal" , and opposing them is not "conservative." The alt-right opposes them, but then the alt-right - now dominating the Republican Party - by definition opposes traditional conservatism. The US was founded on immigration and the Separation of Church and State. Favoring both is a conservative trait.
