I'm Col. Moe Davis (USAF, Ret.) -- a native born and raised North Carolinian and a lifelong Democrat. After 25 years of military service, a year serving Congress as a National Security Specialist, 4 years as a law professor, and 5 years as a federal judge, I'm running to serve the men and women in North Carolina's 11th Congressional District.
The GOP has already dumped over $2 million into this race. And that was just for the primary. Madison Cawthorn, my opponent in November, is going to have access to a lot of dark money.
I need your help to turn NC 11 blue and prevent another Trump enabler from promoting policies that cause working folks to fall further behind. Donate now to help fund the fight to make NC 11 Mountain Strong!

... There have been at least 70 Republican candidates who have run for Congress this cycle who have expressed support for QAnon (19 Republicans are currently on the November ballot). There have also been at least 10 Republican state legislature candidates this cycle who have expressed support for QAnon (nine of those are currently on the November ballot).
The following is a list of actions that Republican Party officials have taken that have helped build up QAnon. This list will be updated....
Much of the list is PINO, his family or others in the WH.
... Twenty candidates -- 19 Republicans and one independent -- have already secured a spot on the ballot in November by competing in primary elections or by fulfilling other requirements needed to get on the ballot.
Of those 20 candidates, five are from California, three are from Georgia, two each are from Illinois and Arizona, and there is one each from Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Hawaii, New Jersey, Oregon, Ohio, and Texas.
One candidate in New York is running as a Republican write-in.
In total, 70 of the candidates are Republicans, two are Democrats, one is a Libertarian, and two are independents....
Candidates whose primaries are still upcoming
(FL 7, Mass 2, RI 1, DE 1)
Candidates no longer running (or whose status is unknown)
... Steve Von Loor (North Carolina, lost primary) ...
As for the Dems, TV news: This is their first ticket since 1984 that hasn't included at least one Ivy League grad.
... His opponent in the race is Democratic nominee Moe Davis. The Davis campaign points to an EMC Research poll that indicates it's a virtual dead heat, with 42% of respondents supporting Cawthorn and 40% favoring Davis....
A poll conducted July 9-12 by EMC Research shows that the once heavily gerrymandered 11th Congressional District in Western North Carolina is a virtual dead heat between Democratic nominee Moe Davis and Republican Madison Cawthorn.
The poll, from a live telephone survey of 402 likely November 2020 voters in the 11th District, showed the race at 42% for Cawthorn to 40% for Davis. Neither candidate receives a majority vote and Davis is within striking distance of Cawthorn with a margin of error of ±4.89 percentage points. While support is partisan driven at this early stage of the election, Independent voters lean toward Davis, 41% to 34%....
Don't get my hopes up only to let me down, 11-inians.
I'm a little hopeful since this discussion is happening so early. There's tons of time to vote absentee or early, as I will. If people don't do so, we deserve the result.
... Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich
Former Rep. Susan Molinari, R-N.Y.
Former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman
Silicon Valley CEO and one-time Republican gubernatorial (candidate) Meg Whitman is also scheduled to address convention watchers.
The four Republicans will give remarks during a segment billed as "We The People Putting Country Over Party." They have all been openly critical of Trump. Whitman gave $500,000 to the Biden Victory Fund at the end of June, campaign finance records show....
Meg, I assume. Could be better written and edited.
A sitting Repug pol would be better . . . as if.
I hope this attracts more con voters than it turns off progressives.

I'm going with the early voting instead of mail in, especially now that trump has fucked up the USPS. I've not seen the mailman around here but one time in the last six days. And I bet in FL and GA absentee ballots must now have eight witness signatures, each of them directed to use the same pen.
As for the Republicans above speaking at the DNC, I consider it quite significant; if it "turns off" any progressives, I say the ones who are turned off are being as petty and juvenile as trump is in all matters. If they feel they are that tribal, they're missing the point.

I'm going with early voting, too, but I'm not fully convinced that the machines are more reliable than the mail. Sad.
I'll vote for Joe, but there's been a revolt happening in our streets and some won't accept moderate policies and appeasement. It's easy to decide not to show up, that's what most ads are trying to accomplish. We can criticize, but I'm sure that Joe's team is weighing the cost-benefits. Hence, a slot for AOC, and Bernie! and Michelle being so prominently featured.
... First lady Melania Trump and the president’s adult children — Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump — are also slated to speak.
Guess I'm done thinking that Tiffany is better than the rest of the PINO Klan.
