Idk, trump's anger is pathological, what's the excuse for so many of his supporters?
Are we that sick a country?
Yes. Consider our true history. It has never matched our ideals and we've always had a minority that was even worse.
Absolutely. A majority of the Republican party still supports that clown, not just for entertainment but as President of the effin' United States. That's sicker than most any other example I can think of from any other country.

Well isn't that effing depressing.

From death penalty "imposed" by TRE45QN to potentially regulating the shit out of his properties while watching TRE45QN be the one imprisoned - Ain't America grand!
New to me: Jack Smith is now investigating the GA fake elector scam and attempt to commit voter fraud that Fulton County may indict on as early as August.
It's fun and easy to portray Trump as terminally stupid because he frequently does terminally stupid things. But the man managed to "fool most of the people most of the time" in building his pre-president* persona, and managed to get himself elected president* and continues to hold his grip on the Poorly Educated Party. I keep thinking he can't really be all that stupid.
Then I look at the people he hires for important roles. Apparently Habba was a decent mid-level sort of lawyer - not an ambulance chaser or somebody who hung around courthouses picking up low level criminals. But not somebody with a record in top tier cases, either. You might add her to your staff, or you might engage her for a particular matter in which she has expertise, but no way is anybody going to put her in a first chair of handling presidential* issues and particularly not with a president* with such complex and far-reaching legal problem. And yet, he's somehow surprised when she's unsuccessful and now he'll probably trash her totally. Everything Trump touches dies.
It's entertaining how Trump hires these people that any random dude on the street would know isn't qualified, then after they're gone he trashes them for being "disgraceful" or whatever his derogatory term du jour is. Reminds me of what I used to ask clients who poo-pooed some complaining departing employee by saying they're "just a disgruntled employee." "Okay." I say. "Did you hire them disgruntled or did you make them disgruntled?"
... Trump, who pledged during his 2016 campaign to surround himself with “the best people,” called ex-Attorney General William Barr “weak and pathetic” and former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper “incompetent.” Bartiromo asked him to explain.
“You know, most people were good but I had some people ... I thought we had other people I didn’t like,” said Trump.
“Why did you put them in the job then?” asked Bartiromo of Barr, Esper and former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
... Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has knocked Trump’s hiring skills as well.
“It’s plain and simple: Either Donald Trump doesn’t know how to pick personnel, or he’s the worst manager in the history of the American presidency,” Christie wrote in a tweet.

I'll go with a terminally stupid TRE45QN who hires stupid people and has an odd charisma that appeals to the minority of terminally stupid people.
... Alex Gleason’s departure comes amid a period of prolonged uncertainty for Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which launched Truth Social as a way for Trump to connect with his base after he was cut off from major social media platforms after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by his followers.
... Truth Social’s user base has remained tiny compared to the growth targets TMTG laid out in November 2021, when it told investors the app would reach 56 million users by 2024 and 81 million by 2026.
Truth Social has an estimated 607,000 monthly users, according to data from Similarweb.
Trump had 5.71 million followers on Truth Social as of July 17, compared to the more than 88 million followers he had on Twitter when the platform suspended him.
TMTG had in October 2021 announced a deal to go public by merging with blank-check firm Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC) but the merger has been in doubt as investigations by the Justice Department and the U.S. securities regulator have delayed its closing....
Opps. By comparison, Threads has slacked off after its wild start, but it's still at 23.6 million daily active users after just 2 weeks.
First reaction is to think "what an idiot" and lament Trump's comprehension of (anything). On the other hand, legalese, bureaucratese, police jargon, etc., can be overly complex and wordy. Out of the original 50 pages, probably more than half were unnecessary. All that notwithstanding, Trump's density should have been and be frightening to us all, including the right-wingers.

This is what happens when TRE45QN lawyers have learned to demand their fees upfront:
