Did you forget vrede has already tried this other times by following IP addresses and posting them? Then also spent time looking for pictures of Gene with his work place once he found his name. In my PM to you, I brought up the fact that those who left were not only "cons", but those that you enjoyed as fellow liberals as well...you know I'm not lying about that, and those of you who are left here know as well that I'm not lying; no one wants to man up and step up to agree with me..

In the past, I had a few of your fellow libs send me PM's telling me they appreciated my standing up for my religious beliefs, and though their views on homosexuality differed from mine, they were tired of the anti-religious and God-bashing garbage that you and the others were posting. Others left simply because they were tired of Vrede's dominating every subject and thread and constantly berating other posters with his acidic and hateful remarks.
So Banni....your forum success lies in what you do with it. Keep Vrede around and be satisfied with your little circle of 5-6 with the same mundane opinions, and possibly one day yourself be outed by his "I'm #1 attitude", or put a leash on him and hopefully watch your forum restore itself.
Vrede once mentioned that he offered to help pay the costs of maintaining this forum...so is that it? Is that why you won't put Vrede on a leash? Does Vrede own this forum as well as you?
What I did didn't come to me in an instant. I pondered over it for weeks before I made my decision. Perhaps it's time for you to make a decision about whether to dissolve this forum or make a move to hopefully allow it to achieve the success it once knew.
The decision is yours, and I know it won't be an easy one.

Well I was finally bored enough today with the rain and decided to do research on the PM subject even calling some one.
I read YOUR link and it very clearly says you can read PM's.
I wouldn't because I'm not computer literate enough or wouldn't care to do so or even know where to start but some here who were given complete access to do whatever he wanted and is dirtball enough to spent time posting IP's to names and searching for pictures of folk would make the time to learn how to do such a thing. I did other searches and from what I get anyone with computer savvy or the will to be dirtbag enough can do it.
Anyone who has access to the database and knows what s/he is doing can read PMs. But there is no built-in admin function to phpBB 2 or 3 that allows Admins or Moderators to view PMs.
however, there are several mods that would allow admins to browse PMs, and a user of a board has no way of finding out if such a mod was installed.
