So about the only thing in the vaccines that a person could be allergic to is Polyethylene glycol ("PEG"). And that would be rare. But let's say Rodgers had had a bad experience with "personal lubricants" containing PEG, and that his dick had shriveled. Fine. When the topic came up early season, he could have said, "I'm one of a few people with an allergy to PEG, so I'll have to follow the protocol for unvaccinated until or unless one of the other vaccines does not contain that. " Done. No scandal. No public stupidity. No ridicule on SNL. But nooooo. He has to follow the Mad Hatter down the rabbit hole.

State Farm stands by Aaron Rodgers after his vaccine comments: 'Respect his right' to have his own point of view

Given a chance to repudiate the lies and misinformation spread last week about COVID-19 vaccines by Green Bay Packers quarterback and company pitchman Aaron Rodgers, State Farm punted.

“Aaron Rodgers has been a great ambassador for our company for much of the past decade,” a company spokeswoman said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports Monday morning.

“We don’t support some of the statements that he has made, but we respect his right to have his own personal point of view. We recognize our customers, employees, agents and brand ambassadors come from all walks of life, with differing viewpoints on many issues. Our mission at State Farm is to support safer, stronger communities. To that end, we encourage vaccinations, but respect everyone’s right to make a choice based on their personal circumstances.”

Respecting the right to make a choice is not the same as employing a spokesperson for COVIDiocy. Maybe State Farm's actions belie their wishy-washy words, though:

Nonetheless, Apex Marketing Group reported that only 1.5% of State Farm ads had Rodgers in them Sunday, down from 25% of State Farm ads the two previous Sundays.

State Farm’s tepid reaction was far different from the reaction of another Rodgers' sponsor, Prevea Health, a healthcare company in Wiscosin, which ended its partnership with Rodgers Saturday.

I hope he's paid by the number of airings, not just a flat rate.
