as memory serves

bammer always sang their Rammer Jammer we beat the Hell outta you song when they won rivalry type games, but sometime in the 90s during our 6 straight wins over them they decided that the word Hell was unacceptable and shouldn't be used by mean Auburn fans to ridicule them in our evil War on Bammer. To this end, they wrote article after article about classless barners using foul language in front of children and grandparents.

here's where I must have missed something, skip ahead a few years and we now have the bammers singing (but just not this year) Dixieland Delight with the line Fuck Auburn. I can only assume that they are using the unfoul language version of Fuck

here they are, the fans who were so outraged that Auburn fans would say Hell at a football game

Oh yes they did, they had tua many players on the field.

Did Daboo thank all the cupcake teams clemson scrimmaged for keeping his boys healthy before they played bammer last year and again this year for lsu?

whoever it is, they must really suck

and what team won every game it played against Clemson for 112 years.

but then, I guess that in this new world, 2 wins does create some sort of dynasty

Playoff Selection Committee Poll

1 Ohio State (12-0)
2 LSU (12-0)
3 Clemson (12-0)
4 Georgia (11-1)
5 Utah (11-1)
6 Oklahoma (11-1)
7 Baylor (11-1)
Lots of drama remains.
If Wisconsin > Ohio State, does Ohio State stay in the Playoffs? I think so since Wisconsin is such a high quality opponent, but maybe not.
If Georgia > LSU, does LSU stay in the Playoffs? I'm almost positive it does since Georgia is such a very high quality opponent, and Georgia will obviously stay in the Playoffs and the rest of us suffer with 2 SEC teams.
If #23 Virginia > Clemson, does Clemson stay in the Playoffs? Idk, a Utah that just beat #13 Oregon (ugh) or the Oklahoma - Baylor winner will have a strong case. GO Cavaliers!
If LSU > Georgia, I think Georgia is out. The PSC doesn't like 2-loss teams, especially if 1 loss was to unranked SC. Then, if also Utah > Oregon (ugh), does Utah get the #4 slot or does the Oklahoma - Baylor winner? This scenario may cause the most bitter debate.

8 Wisconsin (10-2)
9 Florida (10-2)
10 Penn State (10-2)
11 Auburn (9-3)
12 Alabama (10-2)
HEY, billy.pilgrim, you beat Alabama the HELL out of the top 10 and you're higher ranked!
If Wisconsin loses, you should move up to #10.

13 Oregon (10-2)
The only higher ranked teams that have games are the top 8. In THEORY, the Ducks could jump as high as #5 if they beat Utah, and Wisconsin and Georgia lose, and since there will be an Oklahoma - Baylor loser. Granted, all of this might happen and the Ducks may fall short of #5. It would be a crazy big leap.

14 Michigan (9-3)
15 Notre Dame (10-2)
16 Iowa (9-3)
17 Memphis (11-1)
18 Minnesota (10-2)
19 Boise State (11-1)
20 Cincinnati (10-2)
21 Appalachian State (11-1)
Sigh, Memphis and Cincinnati both being ranked higher tells me that Appalachian State has no chance to get that Group of Five Cotton Bowl slot. So, I'm switching to rooting for:
@(19)Boise St -13.5 Hawaii.
I like it more than either Memphis or Cincinnati and will hope that a loss by favorite Memphis will put Boise St in the Cotton Bowl. There will be debate, regardless, and perhaps bitter debate if Cincinnati and Boise St both win.

22 USC (8-4)
23 Virginia (9-3)
Tiger killer!

24 Navy (9-2)
25 Oklahoma State (8-4)

My immediate thought, regardless of school: Good luck with that. Then I read further:
UPDATE (Sept. 24, 2019): Well, despite warnings that the iconic song would not be played if Alabama students kept singing the old lyrics, that hasn’t stopped them from letting the ad-libs fly in 2019.

During Alabama’s home game against Southern Miss, the PA system cut out early while Dixieland Delight played. When that happened and play resumed, students continued singing with nothing to drown out a big, fat “F*** AUBURN” chant.
Opps, Auburn fucked them.

damn, I could have gone without being reminded. To make it worse, I went back and looked at the stats. I couldn't see how we lost, we were ahead in every category, and then I came across 2 interceptions and a fumble. We were ahead there too.

and wiki should be more descriptive of their "fight song" (I thought fight song was something you did before and during, but I guess for a bammer it is something you do to rub the other team's face in a loss). Seems pertinent to say that they stopped using their foul language songs when then went through some losing years. They also cried loudly about foul language when others sang their songs back to them, but immediately started cussing visiting teams when they lost.

look for a whole set of New Rules after Sat. night
