Go, in both sets:

Appalachian St -16.5 UAB (2 points). Appalachian St in both sets, of course, but the 2nd largest spread in all of the Bowls might be a big hurdle.
UAB jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first 4.5 minutes. Crap, forget the spread and the game might be lost, right?
31-17 Appalachian St, almost beat the spread. Oh well, 13-1, top 25 ranking, best season ever and a Bowl is excellent!
The Sun Belt Conference has the best percentage Bowl record over the last 5 years.

1/6, 7:30pm et, Louisiana -14 Miami (OH)

I split my picks.

If Louisiana beats the spread, I'm in a 4-way tie for worst and an irrelevant 6th worst.
One player moves out of the cellar if LSU wins. 3 or 4 of us would then go to a tiebreaker based on the Championship final score.

If Miami (OH) beats the spread, both of my sets are in a 4-way tie for 2nd worst. However, the player in last moves out of the cellar if LSU wins. That would leave my two sets in a tiebreaker with 2 other players based on the Championship final score.

So, go Louisiana, slightly. Then, looks like I'm rooting for LSU. Geaux Tigers.
Miami (OH) lost, but beat the spread by 4. Now, I need LSU to win so that I can be the King of Crap after the tiebreaker.

For pink highlighter ties, the first tiebreaker is whomever's predicted final score is furthest from the actual total score, with second tiebreaker being the furthest from the losing team.
Our picks for total score:

Me A 66
Me B 49
Player C 52
Player D 63

First, LSU has to win or I'm out of the running.
If so, my having the highest and lowest picks means that I will always be furthest from correct and will "win" worst. Geaux Tigers!

There was no genius on my part. I don't know how to guess so I just look at past finals. I ignored last year's rout and went with 2016 35-31, and 2017 26-23.

Now 5.
8:00 PM ET tonight.
I still don't really care, but that $10 gives me reason to root for LSU. It's chump change, but for lack of another determinant . . .

Tigers finished 9-4! :P

All credit to Burrow - 463 yds, 5 TDs - but damn, his receivers sure helped him out with some circus grabs and amazing runs after the catch, led by Chase - 9 rec, 221 yds, 24.6 avg, 2 TDs.

Clemson got robbed of a TD on a BS offensive PI call. Don't know if it would have affected the outcome, but . . .

It's official, I'm the worst in the pool on a tie breaker. My other set with the same score, picked a 35-31, 66 final score while real world was 67.

Y'all can complain about how it sucks that the championship game came down to Clemson vs an SEC team once again. Really, though, is there a voice anywhere that is more fun to listen to than Ed Orgeron? Or a more quotable nutjob than Dabo Sweeney? I'm calling this season a success.

I reckon Scott, Keith (#BE BEST) and Kathi (Go Cougs) agree. In addition to the $112 prize, Scott gets to lord his success over family and friends for the next year. With great power comes great responsibility, Scott. The high scoring championship game means that Keith wins the tiebreaker, netting the second place $48, while Kathi gets her $10 entry fee returned. Also getting one of their entry fee's back is (Vrede too). Although his "Favorites" pick was only 1 point off the total score of 67, his "Underdogs" set was the farthest from the real total, earning him the Pink Highlighter for a truly impressive bowl season of suck.

Winners, watch your paypal. The rest of you, dry your tears. March is only weeks away.

I didn't watch many games other than Auburn this year, but I really thought Clemson was better than what they showed last night.

The sec was a little hard to predict this year. Auburn and Alabama were up and down, while lsu came out on top with some really bad officiating by sec refs the same crew that worked the Clemson Ohio State game worked the lsu Auburn game.

Burrows is better than I had thought and trevor, trevor is tall.

Congratulations to the LSU fans that are here.

Rece Davis - "Clemson, they're still the gold standard overall, certainly in this era of college football."

ESPN - And while Clemson was denied back-to-back national titles, it is still No. 1 in the first edition of the 2020 Way-Too-Early Top 25.

Rece Davis - They're still setting the standard in college football. They've already been established as the team to beat next year.
