There's a steady stream of Americans arrested for bringing guns into Canada. Hunting rifles and shotguns are allowed, but they have to be declared at the border. Handguns and assault rifles are not allowed. Sometimes people are caught with an entire arsenal of weapons.

Many believe that their right to concealed handguns extends into Canada. Oddly, they don't like the idea of foreigners coming armed into America.

Most annoying are the folks who can't understand why they're sitting in jail for several days when they "simply forgot" that they had a gun somewhere in the car. It's not that we don't believe them. It's that if they can't be bothered to keep track of where they leave loaded guns, then they're a danger to themselves and those around them.
