Well, look - I don't like Zimmerman, and I'd like to see him rooming with Big Bertha in Starke, but the article making a big deal out of 106 rounds of ammo? Seriously? That's a couple of boxes. I go through a couple of boxes in a practice round at the range, and, because of the right-wing "Obama's gonna take our guns" scare and scarcity, have probably 500 rounds stocked in my "arsenal" not counting the 12 gauge shells.

Looks to me like the list from the affidavit, no big deal out of any particular item. I find the three handguns, 12-gauge shotgun, AR-15 and religious pendant more interesting.

It could be read that way. The sentence "and more than 100 rounds of ammunition", while technically correct, struck me as being more than simply descriptive. I could be wrong. Let's see, he's got three handguns because he never knows when he might have opportunity to chase somebody unarmed and they might take one of his guns away from him while they beat him to the ground. He's got a 12-gauge to protect against all the hoodied skittles-eating pre-drug zombies trying to break into his house, and he's got the AR-15 because it makes him forget he has a little dick. Perfectly reasonable. I don't know why they'd want to take away his guns. Damn libruls.

I think George should seriously consider a scatter gun; that way he can cover all threats even at close range.
