What other reason would anyone want to live there?

Better health care, for 47% less money, including less taxes for it. Less crime. Better snowmobiling. Higher life expectancy. Less corruption. A fully multi-party democracy, with a major party recently pretty much voted out of existence when it lost the trust of too many Canadians.

Canada is less socialist than America in recent decades. It has more economic freedom, according to multiple sources. It has a higher average income. It has less Sovereign Debt and an AAA S&P credit rating with the debt situation getting better, not worse. It has better press freedom.

And best of all, it has Tim Hortons coffee and doughnut shops every 50 feet.
