I suspect it all boils down to bring raised by her lying SoS father. His constant lying, hanging out with a pedophile and general scumbagginess are largely responsible for her ability to lie so casually.

Sure it was a tasteless, uncouth, and insensitive comment, at least the way it was reported. But in context, it's not an unreasonable point. Discussing votes for and against something, or opposition votes in particular, it might be said that "Senator Wanksalot doesn't matter because he's leaving at the end of the term." Or "Who cares what Flake says - he's a dead man walking." Or, "McCain's dying." What I find outrageous, though, is that these people no longer even bother to pretend to have or care about common decency and publicly find that sort of comment to be OK. What harm would it have been to say, "it was an insensitive comment made in a heated discussion. we intended no disrespect to the senator, and apologize to his family for causing unnecessary distress..." But nooooooo.
It's fine as an obvious subtext, but it's not something that should be said aloud at an official and theoretically professional meeting without immediate rebuke by someone in the room with half a brain, especially given POSPOTUS' prior abuse of McCain and the certainty of leaks from this WH. They're busted for cruelty AND stupidity.
