Re: Where We Are Now
I watch Judge Judy quite often and she wouldn't like the comparison to Dr. Phil. Whenever
somebody stats to get into their emotional life she tells them that belongs on another show.
Brooks is hardly representative of people who appear on the show, so he doesn't prove
anything about where the U.S. is supposedly headed. Everybody knows who much the nutters
like these the sky is falling scenarios. Judy is an educated, rich jackass who likes to bully those
who are not educated or rich, that's how she gets her kicks.

Of course the guy should have used the rent money for rent.
Then you don't understand the concept of her show. Neoplacebo nailed it.Supsalemgr wrote: Thanks guys. As for Judge Judy she is nothing more than an entertainer that I don't watch.

"Judge Judy" was a real judge before she was a TV entertainer. From most accounts, she wasn't much different on the real bench as on her show. That's how she got the job. All the cases are "real" in the sense that they would have otherwise gone to Small Claims Court, but Judge Judy does have a bit of discretion in her decisions as well as how she treats (or mistreats) the participants.

Wow, Judy is sleeping on the job today. Two guys in a row had their arms crossed and she
didn't say anything. Regular viewers know how obsessive she is about where people put
their hands, believe it or not.
I doubt she could get away with some of the stuff she does and says on the show if she
was back in the NYC court system.

Congratulations Vrede. That is the best spin you have ever concocted. It took awhile, but Vrede found a way to excuse the jerk's mentailty. So Vrede does not think we actaully have people like the jerk in our society?

Vrede sure does throw the term "lies" around when he does not agree with a poster's opinion. It is definitely a character flaw and indicates extreme lack of self-esteem.

I've said "Opps, I was wrong" Vrede has said "Opps, sorry (super-s, et.al) Stinger has said 'Opps, I missed that" Neo has said 'Opps, I didn't mean that" etc. Every leftie who is in the forum has at one time or another admitted to getting something wrong, or unintentionally trashing somebody who was correct. If anybody can come up with an example of the right-wing participants doing that, let's have it. I can't think of any.

Once, after two pages of twisting and cutting and running, Butt Ugly finally admitted that it was 2012, not 1912 as he had written.O Really wrote:I've said "Opps, I was wrong" Vrede has said "Opps, sorry (super-s, et.al) Stinger has said 'Opps, I missed that" Neo has said 'Opps, I didn't mean that" etc. Every leftie who is in the forum has at one time or another admitted to getting something wrong, or unintentionally trashing somebody who was correct. I don't think he actually admitted that he had made a mistake or anything. He just sort of allowed that it was 2012.
That's the only time . . . out of the hundreds of times he's been proved to be wrong.
He just doesn't have the stones for it.
