Thank you for not killing an animal needlessly. Everything but turkey for me too.
I caught someone's cat prowling around in my yard. You know, those things really do taste like chicken; little gamey,
but I was thankful it came along when it did. It didn't die needlessly.

Reminds of a funny Thanksgiving story from when I was in High School ...
My grandmother, who grew up on a farm in Kentucky, always raised a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. As she got older and knew her days were winding down, she moved in with us and wanted to raise her last turkey.
As we were raising the turkey, it had free reign of the yard. If anyone came by, the turkey would peck on their car and chase them when they got out. That turkey was a terror, I tell ya!
I remember coming home from work the evening before Thanksgiving and my grandmother was plucking its feathers (after my Dad had one of his employees come over and do the deed). At last the terror was over!
After suffering, and seeing others suffer, its reign of terror, I swear, to this day, that was the best turkey I've ever eaten.

my grandparents were farmers in tennessee. one of my grandmother's favorite jokes/saying was, "what do you call a rooster that crows at night?"
"dinner"

I too was once attacked by a turkey as a child.
You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.
Lord, give me, your humble servant, the strength to kill more people this year. Amen.
That Redskins/Cowboys game got a bit hairy at the end, but all's well that ends well. I
wonder why the guy that picked up the ball on the off sides kick didn't run it all the way
in for a touchdown. My only thought was that he was playing it extra safe and knew they
just had to kneel on one more snap. Still if he had run it in, they would have been two touch-
downs ahead with about 18 seconds to play.
