Canadian Conservative leader Andrew Scheer, who came within an uncomfortably slim margin of being PM, now resigns for misuse of campaign funds to pay private school tuition for his kids; Alberta citizens are now in severe disapproval of Premier Kenney for doing basically what he said he'd do - cut budgets, services and general screw up the works. Buffoon Johnson's Tories won a majority that will probably go through with Brexit, which was a bad idea to start with and has been totally bungled for three years.

"The opposition" is supposed to oppose, but to do so in a manner that is legal and in keeping with the best interests of those represented. Whether one agrees or not that these two counts of impeachment are the right ones, or the most serious ones, or the only ones, it is clear that if Trump's actions aren't impeachable, then there are no impeachable acts. There is no legal defence, only a determination to keep Trump in office no matter what.
