What happened in your life that caused you to hate God so much?
John 15:18-20 NIV
Now he's blabbering about who hated who first; anything to deflect, divert, and deny. The verse he refers to suits him well as a member of a cult. He hates his country, his religion, children, and the world itself. Well, if thy eye offend thee, pluck it out. And by the same principle, if thy world offend thee, leave it. What happened in your life that made you embrace a raccoon eyed juvenile minded moron and pathological liar? When did you choose fascism over democracy? Will you at some point experience an epiphany and shed yourself of this hatred you cling to? sick
Obamagate! Presidential Harassment! Hoax! Enemy of the People! Fascism! Get some!
What happened in your life that caused you to hate God so much?
John 15:18-20 NIV
The whole WORLD hates you?
Damn man, what did you do???
I notice CAT references the "NIV", ostensibly the "New International Version" of the Bible. The NIV is apparently an all-new translation of original documents, by a group of experts over a period of time, and still continuing. Interesting bit there is that the NIV leaves out a few verses that had been a part of the "old" standard, the King James Version. No big deal, but you have to wonder what the literalists think. Have they been wrong all these years to believe literally every word in the KJV? Or do they not believe the NIV experts know what they're doing in their translation? Or might they realize that translations of obscure dead language isn't likely to get everything exactly right in literal as well as contextural translation? Naaaa.
I was going to excerpt this but it's all interesting, and horrifying, to me. It addresses the wussy perpetual victimization that wingnut Christian fundies like 1 FAT CAN feel.
Anybody heard about how Jim Bakker is coming along after his stroke the other day? I began to wonder the other day if he was singing that line from some old rock song....."stroke me, stroke me...." and if so, maybe there is a god. I forgot who did that song or what song it is, but thanks.
I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them.

Another comment under my link above:
We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart.
